Platform Workers Insurance-related matters

• Medical Claim and Payout procedure:

Assess medical expense claims’/medical invoices’ validity  Assess medical or hospital leave claims Initiate payout to Platform workers process upon claim validity  Initiate reimbursement process from insurers

• Coordinate and follow up on injury reports with claimant / Provide excellent service to our platform worker community to ensure missing information is being provided and information is communicated
• Update and maintain the injury record system on a daily basis and query out new injury claims from our database
• Manage our agents from our shared service centre that are one channel in which injuries are being reported and adjust SOPs if necessary
• Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward all stakeholders at all times
• Responding promptly to Platform Workers' inquiries
• Knowing our products inside and out so that you can answer questions
• Come up with initiatives to improve the process along the way as it is completely new / shape the injury process claim landscape in coordination with other stakeholders involved
• Communicate closely with other teams (e.g. call centre, dispatching, HR and finance team)
• Other ad-hoc duties as assigned

With support from the Regional People Team, you will inform the regional people strategy, identify and execute people programs encompassing performance and talent management, organizational development and change, workforce and compensation planning, employee engagement and retention, and end-to-end employee experiences.

You are comfortable working with data and people metrics to deliver deep talent insights that support business decisions. 

You will be the change advocate for the rollout of people initiatives, ensuring business adoption and engagement. 

You are the trusted advisor to the business, constantly creating business impact through strategic management of the people agenda.

Role and Responsibilities

Performance and Talent Management

• Facilitate performance review sessions, provide guidance and coaching to leaders on managing performance and feedback discussions.

• Drive talent planning and succession planning exercise.

• Obtain insights and new requirements to iterate and evolve foodpanda’s performance culture and journey.

• Conduct training needs analysis and propose training plans that meet business priorities as well as employees’ professional development needs.

Organizational Development and Change

• Execute the roll out of culture, inclusion and diversity initiatives to increase organizational effectiveness.

• Manage organizational changes in an agile fashion, getting buy-in and commitment, understanding the impact on employees and bring them along the change journey through communication and enablement.

Workforce and Compensation Planning

• Serve as the cross-functional partner in aligning business needs, and workforce planning processes.

• Guide leaders in making rewards decisions using performance and business data and insights, and in alignment with our total rewards philosophy and market competitiveness

Employee Engagement and Retention

• Leverage data and insights, propose and track action plans to address and improve engagement.

• Analyze attrition data to identify trends and correlations, and make recommendations to increase talent attraction and retention rates.

Employee Experiences and HR Service Delivery

• Deliver excellent employee experience through seamless and efficient management of each step of the employee life cycle, from onboarding to career transitions.

• Provide insights on requirements for critical HR and technology projects, support business case scenarios to drive the betterment of employee experience and HR service delivery.

We are hiring for the Head, MD Office position based in Singapore. This role will be reporting directly to the Managing Director. You will also work closely with the MD and other senior leaders to identify and execute high-priority initiatives that support the company's strategic goals.

Responsibilities:

• Performance management
  • Drive business performance management of the MD Office scope, including goal alignment process, evaluating performance, and driving interventions
  • Act as a "bridge" between local leadership and regional stakeholders to: 
    • Discuss country performance
    • Align support from functions, and 
    • Align and drive strategic priorities
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Commercial, Sales, Operations, Marketing, etc.) in Singapore on high-impact projects
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and other materials to support the MD in decision-making and communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with the MD on various cross-functional initiatives, encompassing OKR evaluations, preparation and review of Investment Proposals, active engagement in WBRs, analysis of insights derived from discussions, and involvement in other associated projects
• Thought-Partnering
  • Support Country Directors in designing solutions to complex business problems
  • Conduct research and analysis on key issues and provide recommendations to the MD and relevant local directors
  • Collaborate with the MD to identify key priorities, align them with department heads/directors, and offer support through analysis and project management as required
  • Take ownership of competitor-related information gathered from customers, riders, and vendors. Work closely with other department heads/directors, including but not limited to those in pricing, deals/discounts, and overall experience, to stay informed about any relevant movements in the market
• Special Projects
  • Drive special initiatives that have top-line / bottom-line impact across Singapore
  • Manage and oversee strategic C-level projects from ideation to execution
  • Build project plans with end-to-end ownership, from planning through delivery, as required

What you’ll find at our table:

• Oversee the full set of accounts and take responsibility for month-end closing, closely partnering with the GL shared service team to ensure accurate and timely reporting
• Business partnering with local business stakeholders and FP&A counterparts to solve accounting issues effectively, review our financial numbers (PnL, balance sheet and cash flow) thoroughly and highlight any significant variances/potential risk areas to the management
• Focus on continuous process improvement, drive for the adoption of best practices and operational excellence for Singapore across different teams that will have significant financial impacts
• Ensure proper documentation on the processes to strengthen internal controls

• Perform internal audits and manage quarterly and year-end external audits and liaise closely with external advisors to ensure that our regulatory reporting is completed on time
• Ensure processes are compliant with group accounting policies, internal controls, tax and other statutory requirements. Identify new internal accounting controls that we should implement to mitigate the risk of non compliance
