To manage and provide effective guidance / quality check to Front Office and NCA reviewer in their work processes and submissions, in terms of new client account opening which involves both documentation and KYC aspect. The role requires the candidate to advise the Front Office in all Know-Your-Client/ Source of Wealth and legal document related matters and supports the Front Office from the beginning of the new customer adoption process from prospect through to funding of the account including. In addition, he/she liaises with the local AML officers concerning business-view on specific AML/ KYC/ SOW related topics.

In his/her function as Documentation / KYC checker, the candidate can manage the daily BAU responsibilities and reporting on metrics. It involves close collaboration with AML, Compliance, ORM, Front Office and Legal.

Your key responsibilities:

• Ensure timely account openings and response turnaround
• Provide SME advice to Front Office on complex account structures and KYC/AML cases the business is confronted with
• Function as a Checker to ensure review quality
• Act as sparring partner for Front Office in all AML/ SOW/ KYC related topics
• Support and advice Front Office in completing the KYC/ SOW information in line with DB Group standards
• To enhance Client risk assessments and various MIS reports for management reporting to facilitate review in managing risk and strengthening the control procedures and processes
• To understand the Bank Global KYC/ AML Standards, Account Documentation procedures, Local Laws and Regulations and implement related control processes
• Escalation of operational, regulatory and other risks to line manager and functional leads as appropriate; contributes to the development and implementation of mitigation or control solutions
• Involved in design and implementation of strategies to ensure continuous process with the WM COO and Change functions to scope and define change projects to deliver process and performance improvement
• Assist the Head of NCA to review controls to minimize operational risk
• Maintain KOPs to ensure latest processes and requirements are reflected and adhered to
• Lead and/ or represent WM Ops in ad-hoc projects in relation to NCA/ KYC/ SOW/ Regulatory Changes

Your skills and experience:

• Minimum 3 years of KYC Operation experience in Private Banking
• Proven knowledge and experience in banking operations, client onboarding, account documentation, risk management, sophisticated AML/KYC knowledge
• Proven knowledge in Know Your Client procedures in Private Banking
• Degree majoring in Banking, Accountancy or Business Administration or related discipline
• Ability to develop a good knowledge of the customer base, with sensitivity to specific customer needs.
• Proven experience in team/stakeholder management

Details of the Division and Team:

Deutsche Bank is exposed to a wide range of risks every day. It is the responsibility of the Chief Risk Office (CRO) to identify, aggregate, manage and mitigate these risks. Credit Risk is a centralised risk-type function within the CRO function. The team is primarily responsible for providing credit approvals for single name credit risk, setting credit limits and monitoring and managing these in the context of the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management framework. The team provides deep technical expertise to the business aligned risk functions and facilitates strategic business decision-making to improve overall use of the bank’s capital and minimize loan losses.

The role involves working with a team of credit officers covering North Asia credit which is an important part of Deutsche Bank’s Asia growth strategy. This is a second Line of defense function to partner with the business stakeholders to grow and manage a healthy and balanced credit portfolio in a sustainable and remunerative manner. He or she will be required to make credit decision and to monitor the credit portfolio together with the team. The role requires analytic skills in assessment of financial risk and requires knowledge and sensitivity to other non-financial risks eg operational and regulatory

Your key responsibilities:

• Research/ recommendation/ approval of underwriting and credit limits and transactions covering Corporates and Financial Institutions on a timely basis.
• Working closely with Business and other Infrastructure functions to wholistically assess the risk of a credit exposure.
• Preparation of counterparty ratings and ongoing monitoring of evolving counterparty risk, including inputs on industry, financial and business risk, management and transparency, peer analysis and financial analysis; covenant monitoring tools
• Demonstrate an understanding of Loan products/ Structured Finance, but also Markets and Trade Finance products, in order to assess the Risk / Return equation in the Business proposals
• Demonstrate a sound judgement of Risk / Return in arriving at credit decisions / recommendation in order to achieve the overall portfolio strategy and objectives of the Bank
• Participate in discussions on structuring of transactions, with a view to achieving optimal risk and return metrics for the credit portfolio
• Effective resolution of conflicting views with Business in a constructive and professional manner, maintaining the Bank’s underwriting standards, at the same time supporting the Business to achieve agreed targets.
• Coordinate with internal / external / Regulatory audit & on-site inspections by providing documents & feedback.

Your skills and experience:

• Graduate with minimum 2 years experience in credit risk management role in a reputed financial institution
• Prior experience working on financial analysis, approval / recommendation of transactions and portfolio responsibilities.
• Basic understanding of key products – financings, trade finance and global markets (fx/rates/commodities)
• Strong technical & analytic skills, risk judgment.
• Basic understanding of documentation like ISDA, CSA and loan agreements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Job Description:

• Being the HR Operations subject matter expert for Singapore, manage HR operations including payroll and benefits to ensure smooth, timely, and accurate delivery
• Provide advisory and operations governance of HR processes including payroll/benefits, relevant teams and third-party vendors, adherence to risk and control requirements and reporting timelines.
• Works with internal stakeholders on regulatory updates and implementation, ensuring that processes are robust and in compliance
• Lead operational improvement and implement solutions
• Manages and delivers the regular and ad-hoc regulatory, internal management and Head Office reporting/requests.
• Management of department Business Continuity
• Monitor and review services delivered by offshore delivery-hubs.
• Provide oversight for Singapore HR benefits on benefits administration, ensure controls and adherence to policies and regulations.
• Ensure governance of benefit costs/ policies and overview support during benefits audits, cost reconciliation, annual certification and other exercises.
• Vendor management and governance with key benefits and wellbeing vendors. Ensure appropriate contracting, periodic service reviews, SLAs and invoicing to ensure smooth delivery of services. May also be required to complete additional requirements for Outsourced vendors in line with the Vendor Risk management policy.
• Active participation and coordination of internal and external audit reviews, as well as related projects.

Requirements

• Sound understanding of Singapore legislations/regulations in Human Resources/manpower including payroll matters (e.g., MAS, MOM, CPF Board, IRAS)
• Strong knowledge of HR processes, including payroll with a strong risk mindset to drive robust governance process
• Relevant experience in managing HR Operations including payroll and benefits
• Vendor management experience
• Sensitivity to confidentiality, accuracy, timeliness and completeness of transactions
• Sensitivity to SLA driven approach, accountability-based work ethic
• Strong partnership and Team leadership to drive strong execution/change
• A strong team player and with diligent follow-throughs and ownership over closure of issues
• Experience of senior stakeholder engagements and also with control functions (e.g., Compliance, Risk, etc.)
• Experience of working with off-shore teams to drive on end-to-end delivery/governance
