Job Description:

• Lead the development of enterprise products and the delivery of software services and cloud platforms, ensuring the implementation of best development practices and governance.
• Collaborate with pre-sales teams to provide technical proposals and evaluate application architecture solutions.
• Work closely with the technology architecture team to design and implement both monolithic and microservices architectures.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and collaborate with the R&D team to turn conceptual designs and Proof-of-Concept (POC) prototypes into effective business solutions for end-users.

Ideal Candidate:

• Proficient in one or more programming languages/frameworks, such as C#, Java, .NET Core, or Spring Boot.
• Strong understanding of Agile software delivery methodologies and experience in implementing DevSecOps practices.
• Experienced with RDBMS, NoSQL, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and distributed computing.
• Familiar with API gateways, centralized logging, monitoring, and middleware for messaging and authentication.
• Good knowledge of networking concepts like TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.

Job Responsibilities:

• Be responsible for the technical integrity of all Safety Engineering design activities and deliverables under his/ her supervision through the project lifecycle and for the compliance with relevant project performance, integrity, quality and HSE requirements.
• Review and provide technical inputs on Technical Safety related technical matters to interfacing disciplines, in coordination with the team/department, during the development of design on projects.
• Manage Technical Safety interfaces with equipment and package suppliers to comply with technical requirements, specifications and Client’s Basis of Design, Standards & Project Specifications.
• Be responsible for the progress of assigned Technical Safety scopes, the internal and external deliverables in line with project budget and schedule.
• Act as the package responsible engineer for safety, life-saving and firefighting equipment.
• Support the team on verification activities as required by the verification body/classification society or other applicable approving authorities.
• Represent the Technical Safety discipline during meetings, audits, verifications, workshops and technical reviews and be responsible for an effective and timely resolution of identified issues.
• Provide technical support related to Technical Safety at the fabrication site, whenever required.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by his/ her supervisor.

Work experience requirements:

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience having worked in an engineering setup for upstream oil & gas projects (Fixed and Floating installations).
• Must have prior work experience with medium/ large sized brownfield and/or greenfield projects in the upstream Oil and Gas sector and possess a good understanding of project phases, milestones, deliverables, internal and external interfaces.
• Must have significant experience with implementing Safety Design Philosophies and Specifications
• Must have had significant experience with developing Safety Engineering Deliverables.
• Must have had significant exposure to supporting the development and implementation of recommendations from third party safety studies and workshops, including HAZID/ENVID, SIL Classifications, Smoke, Gas, Fire and Explosion Risk Analyses, Evacuation Analyses, QRA, ALARP assessments, Fire and Gas Mappings and Noise Studies.
• Must have a good understanding and knowledge of oil and natural gas industry standards such as, but not limited to, API (American Petroleum Institute), ISO (International Organisation for Standardisation), NORSOK, EU Directives and other relevant standards related to Technical Safety.
• Must have strong computer literacy in MS Office and shall be familiar in Technical Safety related software such as Pipenet, DNV PHAST, Flaresim etc.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical/ Safety/ Mechanical Engineering or other equivalent engineering specialisation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overseeing and leading the mechanical design of UPW and wastewater treatment systems, including the selection and sizing of equipment such as process vessels, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers, dewatering devices, and other mechanical components.
• Ensure seamless integration of these components into the overall treatment system.
• Prepare technical specifications for mechanical equipment and work with vendors to procure the required components.
• Evaluate equipment proposals and make recommendations based on technical and budgetary considerations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other engineering disciplines to plan and execute UPW and wastewater treatment projects.
• Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and progress assessments to ensureproject objectives are met.
• Perform engineering calculations, simulations, and modeling to assess theperformance and reliability of mechanical systems.
• Address technical challenges and propose solutions to optimize system performance.
• Ensure that all mechanical designs and installations comply with applicable codes,standards, and industry best practices.
• Conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity and safety.
• Collaborate with the project team to prepare cost estimates for mechanical components and equipment.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities where applicable.

Skills & Experiences required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related Engineering field.
• At least 15 years of exposure and experience in mechanical engineering with expertise in water and/or wastewater treatment systems will be considered for the Lead or Manager role.
• Proficiency in mechanical design software and engineering analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of various mechanical components and equipment used inwater and/or wastewater treatment systems.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- As part of an integrated system, the candidate is responsible for the design and technical support of all hardware, software, instrumentation and control elements

- Identify, create and support project documentation including, but not limited to:

• HMI, PLC programming
• power distribution
• control/signal wiring
• wireless technology
• cabinet/panel design
• BOM and layout drawings

- Develop instrumentation specifications as related to process requirements and control schemes.

- Prepare, check, and issue instrument schedule and list, including document index, instrument index, I/O list, cable schedules, interconnection wiring drawings, termination drawings, junction box schedule, instrument hookup drawings, and material take off.

- Support engineering, project management and deployment groups to identify and resolve technical issues.

- Work with vendors and purchasing to select and establish equipment component specifications, material take-offs, requisitions and vendor orders.

- Coordinating cost control, project schedule, and manufacturing efforts.

- Check and issue the following:

• block diagrams,
• control/rack room layout,
• cable route, instrument location plan,
• DCS, SIS, BMS systems loop drawings,
• instrument hook-up details, and
• instrument sizing and calculation.

- Prepare and issue instrument data sheets for control valves, on-off valves,PCVs, MOVs, PSVs, and other field instruments.

- Support and assist designers in drawing preparation.

- Provide technical direction as required.

Skills & Experiences required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with more than 15 years of experience in System Controls, Instrumentation and Wiring for the Lead or Manager role.
• Ability to work independently and in an interdisciplinary team environment to perform all duties in a professional and timely manner.
• Able to work through problems from a technical and practical prospective, while maintaining cost controls.
• Proven experience and exposure in Wastewater, Chemical Processing and/or Oil and Gas systems experience is preferred.
