Your Tasks

• Design and develop relevant pricing tools that support analysis and review of pricing, costing, operational process, and profit for selected customers.
• Analyse and deploy pricing strategies on RFQs and GSRT with maximization of tools capability.
• Lead the Commercial, other functions and other regional/ global teams on pricing systems, tools and reports for actions from SPA workshop and country participation request from Regional Pricing.
• Create effective business reports on compliance level of Key Compliance KPIs (available from Monthly Pricing Reports) with regular reviews/projects.
• Invent Pricing programs through tools such as RADAR, CARAT and STP for yield improvement and for price changes such as Ship to Profile/Ship to Commit exercise, Surcharge compliance exercise and new rates program.
• Devise innovative processes to make pricing offers more efficient through offer management system and country rating system(GRE), driving faster profitable growth for DHL's business forward.
• Anchor for continuous improvement through collaborative efforts of pricing, customer masterdata management and sales support processes.
• Execute pricing and yield improvement initiaitives such as GPI, Ship to Profile/Commit, SPA through data management and analysis.
• Train the commercial function in pricing systems and tools for onboarding and refresher course, ensuring all commercial stakeholders are adequately trained with pricing knowledge.
• Support strategic pricing projects such as General Price Increase, Strategic Pricing Initiative, S&S/DVRA Clean up program and Ship to Profile/Ship to Commit review among others.
• Support in all pricing systems, tools and reports related projects.
• Develop technical skills and knowledge of pricing executives.
• Plan, lead and manage projects with cross functional stakeholders.
• Incumbent must be able to demonstrate ability to train and equip the pricing team with pricing tools, analytical skill and efficient processes

What You Bring

• Minimum of 5-8 years’ experience in a product and/ or service pricing role, or in a marketing or business analysis position will be an added advantage.
• Knowledge and understanding of DHL pricing and costing methodologies and tools is preferred.
• Strong analytical capability including expertise in spreadsheet (MS Excel) and database (MS Access) program, Power BI and Tableau.
• Simulation and forecasting competence is preferred.
• Good business and marketing orientation.
• Degree in Business/ Finance/ Marketing/ Commerce/ Accounting or equivalent will be preferred.

Role Purpose
1. Conduct Customer pricing analysis for country requests regarding special rates.
2. Create Non-Standard Rate Cards (Custom PIDs) for special rates in GRE.
3. Support the collection and/or review of existing or proposed customer rate cards in countries.
4. Coordinate work balance among the Key Account Pricing Team.

How will you contribute to the success of DHL?

1. Conduct Customer pricing analysis for country requests regarding special rates
   - Assess customer analysis requests from country pricing teams and ensure input information and strategy are complete.
   - Extract data for existing customer business in place and prepare respective customer pricing analysis reports.
   - Simulate and analyze entire customer business with existing and potential volumes using up-to-date pricing tools and systems.
   - Generate accurate Customer Pricing Reports for responding to countries’ requests (including, but not limited to, the GRE Pricing comments/ recommendations, overall opportunity snap-shot, detailed analysis by product, lane and weight breaks, etc.).
   - Ensure documentation of customer price analysis and reports according to standards.
   - Where required, support the regional process for any Key Account pricing that is eligible for regional review.
   - Maintain record keeping of statistics to support KAP process measurement including tracking of number of requests by country, turn-around time (TAT), requests outside of agreed SLA, etc.
   - Initiate and run continuous improvement initiatives/projects and workshops.
2. Create Non-Standard Rate Cards (Custom PIDs) for special rates in GRE.
   - Create rate cards from scratch as needed and/or PIDs in the GRE system based on the country pricing team’s input.
   - Where required, interpret overall country requests for price levels and translate these into specific target prices in Custom PIDs whilst ensuring that guidelines on minimum price levels, discounting, and GPP are followed.
   - Ensure PIDs are fully GRE compliant.
   - Included in this is the creation of PIDs for Global Customers from the Global Customers Alignment (GCA) team.
   - Train new colleagues on the day-to-day job and perform audits on the work done by other colleagues.
   - Deactivate outdated customized PIDs.
   - Maintain non-standard fuel surcharge for Global Customers.
   - Get involved in GRE deployment to support the creation of customized PIDs during the rating freeze period.
   - Support GRE countries in escalating system issues.
3. GPI for GRE countries
   - Execute Annual GPI for GRE countries.
   - Execute Off-cycle GPI for GRE countries.
4. Support with the collection and/or review of existing or proposed customer rate cards in countries
   - Contact countries to gather existing customer rate cards.
   - Consolidate customer rate cards, review, validate, and convert to a global standard format as needed.
5. Coordinate work balance among the Key Account Pricing Team
   - First point of contact for the different stakeholders/business partners.
   - Manage the audits which have to be done on the work performed by other KAP team members.
   - Train and coach colleagues in difficult situations and with difficult requests.
   - Maintain and write work instructions for all processes within the KAP team.
   - Analyze reports and perform quality data cleansing in accordance with policies.
   - Participate in business meetings.
   - Ensure a good understanding of all relevant systems and processes to be(come) Subject Matter Expert in KAP.
   - Support testing activities as appropriate.
   - Review and analyze monthly KPIs.

Requirements:

• University degree with strong analytical background (e.g. Business Administration, Finance, Economics).
• Preferable +2 years of experience in related functions, desirable DHL Express experience in an analytical, financial, or Customer Accounting function.
• Preferred candidates would have previous experience in Pricing, Costing, Pricing Implementation (GCI), Billing (CMF), Products/Marketing, and/or EKAD roles.
• Country/Cluster/Regional/Global experience.

Job Requirements

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Analytics.
• 7+ years of experience in Data-intensive product development.
• Proven record of working with analytics, and ML/AI solutions.
• Professional Certification in Agile (preferable).
• Good knowledge of at least one of the functional areas: customer relationships and sales, e-com/freight forwarding/express/logistics operations, and service operations.
• Experience with data modeling principles, DWH.
• Experience with Tableau/ Power BI/ Cognos.
• Experience working Agile and DevOps; familiar with DataOps.
• Understanding of cloud storage, hosting, and computing environments.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional cross-geographical teams to analyze and understand business needs.
• Good oral and written English: ready to present to a technical audience.
