As the Head of Finance, you will develop and manage the Country Finance and Controlling functions, with the objective of supporting the management decision-making process and contributing to the achievement of the business objectives, whilst meeting regulatory requirements, overall Finance guidelines, legal framework and accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Set directions and strategies for controlling and accounting for the country to ensure that financial transactions, policies and procedures meet the organization's short and long-term business objectives and are conducted in accordance with regulatory standards
- Provide leadership in the definition of local finance & controlling strategy, policies and procedures within overall Country context, underpinning the success of the business
- Ensure accurate, transparent, relevant and timely management reporting to division and executive board, including financial (CREST) and operational data
- Continuously improve financial processes, systems, tools and techniques
- Take appropriate measures to remedy financial risk
- Ensure proper billing and cash collection processes are in place
- Evaluate investment and acquisition business cases and co-ordinate the review and approval process in compliance with the DPDHL policy
- Analyzes complex issues in finance and significantly improves, changes or adapts existing methods and techniques
- Promote cost efficient operations with focus on identifying cost saving measures
- Support yield initiatives to drive quality revenue and improve margins
- Support country rollout of CIS / CIM programs through promotion and facilitation
- Accountable for Directorship responsibilities for the subsidiary business
- Act as a financial advisor for cross-functional projects to support appropriate investment and financial analysis
- Support Regional Financial Management in Finance projects and initiatives, such as with pilot programs
- Recruit, manage, motivate, coach and develop key members of Finance team
- Provide clarity on future direction, roles and accountabilities to the Finance team
- Develop and drive a high performance service culture within the Finance Department, generate commitment, motivation and enthusiasm to company and business units
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting / Finance, preferably with MBA & audit qualification
- Professional accountancy qualification (CPA or equivalent)
- 15 years’ experience in various general finance functions accompanied by a wide experience at senior level, preferably in logistics / transportation industry or multinational companies
- Proven ability to manage and lead the team through deep knowledge of finance processes and tools
