Role Purpose
- Manages, develops, and drives programs and projects in more than one Global IT functional sub-domain or a very large and complex sub-domain
- Guides business regions to ensure that programs and projects are managed in a harmonized way and delivered to agreed scope, time, cost, quality, and governance.
How will you contribute to the success of DHL?
- Accountable for the roadmap of global programs and projects appropriate to business requirements.
- Accountable that programs and projects are delivered to agreed time, cost quality, and governance.
- Guide the regions to ensure that the programs and projects are managed in a harmonized way, with maximum sharing and minimal effort and cost duplication.
- Build working relationships with the Business and IT teams in the entity's business regions and other Corporate Divisions to get alignment and leverage potential synergies.
- Ensure coordination with Corporate teams, and other Business Units as required to ensure alignment of projects, programs, and roadmaps with architectures, models, and overall strategy.
- Establish and manage relationships with external partners that support business divisional IT.
- Align with IT Services and other BUs on security measures with business focus in mind.
- Define and align present and future business and IT requirements
- Alignment with Architecture, Technology, IT & Enterprise strategies
- Ensure alignment with the IT risk management policies within business division IT.
Do you have what it takes?
- Minimum 10 years of multi-disciplined IT experience including:
- Experience in a large matrix organization(s), having gained broad expertise managing large, network-wide programs and projects tied to business goals.
- Global experience, collaboration, and teaming.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Demonstrated solid program and project management accomplishments in a cost-responsible environment with execution by virtual and global teams in a matrix environment.
- IT solutions development and implementation experience – proven track record for project managing and delivering complex IT solutions.
- Ability to team with and manage a strong partner/supplier system.
- Leadership capability supported by a broad analytical and technical background.
- Relationship management and cultural awareness in managing different nationalities, managing across borders, negotiating and influencing different cultures, and building strong relationships.
