Project Description:

Datamart Development work across multiple projects.
We provide end-to end project services, Murex projects across all major asset-classes and sectors including investment banking, asset management, corporate treasury and insurance.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze, design and configure database for murex DataMart implementation.
• Detailed understanding and working knowledge of configuration of murex DataMart objects.
• Ability to carry out configuration for accounting, transaction, compliance, PL, cash flow etc reports.
• SQL language, preferably in Sybase environment. Should have knowledge of procedure, function, trigger, index and tuning Market Data experience including MDRS, MDCS and RTBS.
• Unix system commands and shell/Perl script programming.
• Should have experience of creating technical/functional documents along with requirement analysis/client facing roles.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 6-7+ years of experience on Murex Datamart Module
• Basic understanding of Financial products
• Knowledge of SQL, Murex Data model, Unix

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• Prior experience of regulatory reporting
• Functional knowledge of Capital Market products including Derivatives, Money Market and Fixed income asset class

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and support of the corporate network infrastructure. Key member of the team responsible for designing and developing scalable and highly available global network architectures to meet the firm’s business needs.
• Participate in the design, setup and configuration of complex L2/L3 switch Maintain, create and update all network documentation and topology diagrams.
• Configure and support multiple datacentres consisting of a Cisco Nexus LAN (L2/L3), ASR/ISR WAN, ASA firewalls, Cisco UCS Fabric Interconnects, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers and other miscellaneous network appliances.
• Research, evaluate, maintain and perform Cisco IOS/NX-OS code upgrades for a global network infrastructure.
• Fully support, manage and enhance a global Cisco VOIP infrastructure across multiple clusters with over 2000 endpoints.
• Leverage multiple network monitoring tools to analyse network traffic patterns to proactively identify performance issues and account for capacity planning.
• Work with multiple vendors routinely for support, procurement of new hardware, feature enhancement and design strategy when required.
• Responsible for managing, monitoring and maintaining a L3 private IP MPLS carrier network via BGP peering as well as a sophisticated private BGP WAN topology. Full ownership of all WAN CE routers, configurations, QoS policies and ensuring stability of the network 24/7.
• Support manage and maintain all ISP Internet connectivity for the firm from multiple carriers with multiple links in multiple locations.
• Support, manage and maintain network monitoring system for the firm’s global network. This includes network performance monitoring for WAN/LAN links, network nodes, alerting and response, network configuration management and compliance and IP address management.
• Support of the firm’s global wireless infrastructure made up of all Cisco thin AP’s and Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers.
• On a rotating basis, provide after hour coverage to respond to network related issues occurring either before or after support hours.
• When requested, attends IT meetings and scheduled teleconferences.
• Liaise between Firm management, sponsors, users and other IT personnel to communicate issues regarding overall operations status and strategy.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Must possess a thorough understanding of Network Infrastructure and security topology. IP telephony a plus
• Knowledge and/or experience configuring and supporting Cisco ASA firewalls. VPN, IPS/IDS and Palo Alto is a plus but not required.
• Experience with Cisco wireless technology and LAN controllers. Any prior experience Cisco ACS, Radius, TACACS, Prime or ISE.
• Network monitoring tools (Solarwinds, What’s Up Gold, Network General), SYSLOG servers, SNMP, Wireshark.
• Experience with Citrix Netscaler and/or F5 load balancers very desirable, web URL filtering is a plus but not required.
• Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills.
• Ability to conduct research into network issues and products as required.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.

Qualification

• Experience with Cisco 4500, 3850, ASR/ISR routers and Nexus 7K/9K’s.
• Education: Bachelor Degree in IT
• 3-5 years’ experience with Cisco routers and switches. Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
• 5+ years related work experience preferably in a professional services environment.
• Experience with Cisco Nexus L2/L3 switching technology including VDC, VPC peering, Virtual port-channels and other feature sets. Experience performing NX-OS upgrades a plus.
• Protocols EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPSEC, VPN, NAT, 802.1Q, 802.11, LACP, Spanning-tree, UDLD, BPDU, HTTP, HTTPS, DHCP, DNS.
• Cisco certifications in Routing, switching and/or Wireless a plus

Project Description:

Mx.3 change request project covering data mart and back office related changes. Be a part of change squad.

Responsibilities:

Murex Application Responsibility:
- Understand the Murex system setup at the client, organisation of the support teams, end of day procedures and the report delivery process
- Collect and provide detailed technical specifications / business requirement specifications
- Participates in peer review of requirements, technical and/or testing documentation and assists mentors junior members with same
- Analyse datamart setup and the table structures for the purpose of identifying redundant objects, to minimise execution time of batches, and to seek possibility of reuse of objects
- Segregate reports by users, products, creation classes, fields needed, complexity and frequency of execution
- Develop a generic datamodel and then create datamart objects as required for the reports
- Execute processing scripts and batches manually or through the use of a scheduling tool like Control-M
- Reconcile report extraction output with the onscreen / mreport output
- Analyse differences caused by adding or removing some filter conditions / dynamic table flags / launcher flags
- Create and suggest processes, templates and tools to streamline the development, testing and implementation phases
- Analyses issues during planning and test execution phases
- Provide relevant and accurate information about defects and help the business reproduce errors
- Prepare and send effective periodic and timely status reports
- Track the testing progress and escalate the issue well in advance
- Assists in the preparation and execution of test plans
- Identifies the conditions that create errors to occur and escalates outstanding issues for clarification and resolution
- Escalates identified issues/risks in a timely fashion to the team lead.
- Assist team lead with effort estimation related to the development and UAT
- Ensures test documentation and deliverables are consistent with defined standards

Mandatory Skills Description:

- At least 8+ years of experience on MX3.1 Datamart
- Understanding of the Murex system as a whole
- Good understanding of capital market products
- In-depth understanding of MX reporting architecture, MX datamodel, and MX Datamart configuration
- Familiarity with mxres configuration files, and launcher flags
- Thorough knowledge of Datamart objects - dynamic tables, feeders, batch of feeders, scanner templates etc.
- Exposed to Mreports; Mreport to Datamart migration experience is desirable
- Experience with Simulation and Risk Matrices
- Experience with Market risk and credit risk report development
- Experience with RDBMS, e.g. Oracle, Sybase
- Excellent SQL programming skills
- Unix experience necessary; shell programming experience highly desirable; awk, sed, and Perl scripting experience would be a bonus
- Experience with at least one reporting tool, preferably Actuate eRD Pro
- Other programming experience a plus, esp MS Excel VBA
Product knowledge (Any one or more, FX mandatory) - FX, IRD, FI, EQD, CRD
Technical skills - Very good knowledge of SQL (Sybase and Oracle), Atleast one reporting tool (Actuate, Crystal reports, Micro Strategy), Basic unix commands
