- Evaluate and redesign the organizational hierarchy, focusing on interdepartmental relationships and workflow efficiency.
- Review and update job descriptions for office staff to align with current procedures and practices.
Policy Development and Implementation
- Propose, develop, and implement comprehensive office policies, including but not limited to:
- Work-from-Home Policies
- Loan Policies
- Leave Policies
- Travel Allowances
- Phone Usage and Benefits Policies
Performance Management
- Develop measurable metrics to assess staff performance.
- Design and implement a rewards system to recognize and incentivize high-performing employees.
Employee Relations
- Address employee grievances promptly and professionally.
- Facilitate conflict resolution to maintain a positive and harmonious workplace.
Training and Development
- Identify training needs across departments.
- Plan and execute programs to enhance employee skills and performance.
Reporting and Analytics
- Prepare and present HR metric reports to senior management, covering:
- Staff turnover rates
- Employee satisfaction levels
- Compliance-related issues
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of HR experience, ideally in the maritime or shipping industry.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore employment laws and regulations.
- Proven experience managing remote teams and implementing remote work policies.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
