Job Descriptions:
- Support the current state and help develop the future of EiM school’s academic systems, working closely with the Chief Innovation Officer.
- Be a key contributor to developing and communicating a compelling vision and roadmap to stakeholders across all in scope schools
- Lead and grow a team of talented systems managers and data base admins across the Group
- Contribute to a data-wise culture at all levels of the organisation
- Lead relevant elements and implementation of key digital transformation initiatives across our global network of schools
- Drive the development and optimization of our in school application layer
- Be a key stakeholder and SME in the continuous development of a range of academic and business intelligence reports and analytics initiatives, providing guidance and insight to critical academic components and data sets.
- Champion a data-driven culture that empowers educators, enhances student outcomes and supports business functions at school and Group levels, especially when Functional data interacts with academic systems data.
- Support EiM’s existing data governance structures and contribute to the next level of maturity
- Partner with our cybersecurity team to ensure safe, secure and ethical handling of data within all systems in scope
- Lead remote teams and allocate resources effectively across multiple schools/business units
- Ensure that service levels are of the highest standards
- Use success metrics and KPIs appropriately to drive continuous improvement
- Seek out and oversee vendor and partner relationships to enhance Group objectives
- Craft and manage a budget suitable for delivering the information systems roadmap
- Drive automation and efficiency leveraging RPA/DPA approaches
- In partnership with Legal and Cyber teams, ensure compliance with multi-regional data protection regulations for in scope systems
- Design and deliver training to stakeholders in order to maximise the value of the tools and data available to them
Requirements:
- Proven experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in education or multi-unit organizations
- Experience with data governance and cybersecurity
- Deep proficiency with educational technologies and systems (iSAMS in particular)
- Some knowledge of enterprise business software would be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of database and integration technologies
- Competence with the fundamentals of API architecture, including its components, common types, and key practices for building efficient and secure APIs.
- Experience with cloud computing and data platforms like Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Fabric an advantage
- Strong knowledge of K-13 curriculum and assessment frameworks like IB Diploma, IGCSE, A Level is key
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and specifically Power Automate an advantage
- Familiarity with current data protection standards and practices
- Project management expertise, including change management and resource allocation across multiple parallel workstreams under pressure
- Budget management and vendor management and negotiation skills
- Ability to lead a diverse and remote team effectively
