Scope of Works:

1. Oversee day-to-day running of the school’s science laboratories and facilities

Scope of Works:

1. To prepare and get ready resources for Science teaching and learning

3. To assist in the setting up of ICT and Science equipment such as projector, iPads, dataloggers, and microscopes for Science lessons and/or activities

Reception

1. Manage the reception counter at the school’s General Office in accordance to MOE’s and the school’s operating procedures, rules, and regulations.

3. Perform customer service role in answering, screening, forwarding or taking down messages of incoming phone calls in a polite, respectful and professional manner.
4. Provide customer service support to walk-in students, teachers, parents, visitors and school stakeholders in a polite, respectful and professional manner with care and empathy.
5. Attend to unwell or injured students and render first aid if needed.
6. Contact parents of unwell students to be taken home or students who have been absent from school.

Scope of Works:

The duties and responsibilities of the Science Laboratory Assistant:

1. Prepare teaching resources for Science lessons, EE/LLP level programmes, E2K enrichment classes, i.e., packing of materials needed for experiments, setting up of, clearing away and cleaning of experimental set-ups and /or demonstration apparatus as instructed by the Level Reps and Science teachers;

2. Prepare resources for the conduct of Science Practical Tests and maintain examination integrity;

3. Ensure the maintenance (daily cleanliness and upkeep) and safety requirements of the following Special Rooms / Spaces under the Science Department;

• - Science Rooms
• - Maker Studio(s)
• - Learning spaces (e.g. EE Hub, Outdoor Experiential Learning spaces such as the Ecogarden, Rainwater Harvest system, Aquaponics/hydrophonics system, Butterfly Garden, Gardening areas, etc)

4. Adhere to the following requirement stated in the Safety Handbook:

PART A

• - Maintain a safe and tidy lab environment.
• - Display general laboratory safety guidelines clearly for all laboratories.
• - Display the evacuation route prominently in each laboratory.
• - Ensure that all apparatus and equipment are safe for use.
• - Ensure that chemicals are labelled properly in accordance to GHS in Chapter9.
• - Ensure that spills are handled in accordance with guidelines.
• - Ensure that chemicals (see Section 11.3.5.) and biological materials (see Section 10.3.7.) are disposed of appropriately.
• - Store, use and handle chemical explosive precursors (EP) in accordance with the regulations stated in Section 11.2.

PART B

• - Maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, PPE, materials and specimens in good working condition.
• - Report all faulty machines and equipment immediately, and display an "Out of Order" sign prominently on the machines/equipment.
• - Check that safety devices in the laboratory, such as emergency eyewashers, showers and fire extinguishers, are in working condition.
• - Inspect gas and water systems and initiate necessary repair or maintenance work.
• - Maintain a record or file of the Safety Data Sheets (SDS) that accompany purchased chemicals (see also Section 11.3.1. on the classification of hazardous chemicals).
• - Keep a stock book and breakage record and indicate necessary replacement.
• - Prepare an inventory of stocks annually.

• - Check and replenish first aid supplies (see Annex B for the minimum contents of a First Aid Kit).

Scope of Service:

Reception Duties:

• Receiving visitors and render assistance to contractors/ vendors.

• Render assistance to walk-in pupils’ needs and simple non-life threatening first-aid support at the sickbay. To escalate to office staff immediately if it is beyond superficial cases.

• Handle situations when pupils vomit and soil their clothes, loan of uniforms, ad-hoc sewing of buttons on uniform, etc.

• Print and pass the Early Dismissal Form to parents.

Phone Call Duties:

• Handing phone calls on queries, feedbacks and requests.

• Taking messages and ensuring they are passed to the appropriate

staff member in time.

Front Desk Admin Duties:

• Issue and collection of keys to staff/students/vendors.

• Manage incoming/outgoing mails and deliveries. (record, sort &

distribute daily mail).

• Maintain resource files required for counter duty.

• Maintain the forms cabinet in the office. All forms must be current

and to be replenished constantly.

• Operate office equipment like fax, photocopier, etc.

• Ad-hoc simple administrative duties that may be assigned by the

school.

Scope of Works:

1. Attend to telephone calls, emails, front desk reception walk-in enquiries (vendors, parents, students, general public) and receipt of deliveries.
2. Support teaching and administrative staff by providing information to students and parents. To be present during curriculum days with the exception of occasional leave-taking (subject to approval).
3. Facilitate communicate within the school by ensuring necessary information is properly transmitted.
4. Attend to minor student injuries/ accidents and maintain the student injuries/ accidents records file.
5. Assist with administrative duties e.g. filing, data entry, student attendance update, collection of forms.
6. Perform daily upkeeping of counter cleanliness and keeping the area neat and tidy. Help contact parents, students, teachers and vendors.
7. Assist with school programmes/ initiatives e.g. P1 Registration Exercise, P1 Orientation Day, Temperature Taking Exercise etc.
8. Assist with any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the school.

Scope of Works:

1. Counter Service to manage stakeholders’ needs

• Front desk duties include attending to the needs of walk-in customers (such as parents, visitors, partners, teachers, staff, and students) in a professional, prompt and friendly manner. This also includes assisting students according to the school’s guidelines such as issuing graduation certificates and other documents.
• Accept goods on behalf of staff and coordinate with them to ensure receipt of the items.
• Handle incoming calls professionally and ensure they are answered within 3 rings.
• Issue stationery and loan items and provide guidance to users on the appropriate forms to use.
• Notify the General Office when stationery and first aid supplies in the Sick Bay need replenishment.
• Administer basic first aid to injured or ill students in the Sick Bay and issue excuse chits for students who need to leave school early.
• Manage lost and found items, ensuring they are promptly recorded, labeled, and organized in a timely manner.

2. Students’ Support

• Handle administrative duties such as data entry, verify and check on completeness of forms and documents submission such as MOE FAS application forms and leave application forms.
• Handle the latecomers by updating the latecoming details at the google form, issuing latecomer’s slip, daily updating of students’ attendance and notifying OM on students issued with Corrective Work Order.
• Manage parents’ appointments for key personnel during Parents-Teachers Meetings.
• Support Discipline Master in the safekeeping of Ezlink cards/ handphone for latecomers/students.

3. Other Administrative Support

• Provide administrative support for fund raising events.
• Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of reception counter.
• Handle adhoc duties and projects assigned by the School.

Scope of Works:

1. Handle calls, walk-in enquiries, delivery, school mails, parcels dispatch.
2. Attending to pupils who are unwell in the General Office (GO) and ensuring that the school’s early dismissal procedure is adhered.
3. Coordinate with Teacher in charge to update weekly school activities in the GO
4. Pack and prepare materials to be distributed to all classes
5. Compilation of simple information and statistics using MS Office
6. Filing and distribution of school correspondences and materials
7. Provide administrative support during major school events e.g P1 orientation etc
8. Any other duties as assigned by School

Scope of Works:

1. Prepare materials for daily lessons, department noticeboard displays, regular department programmes such as competitions and external school activities, perform gardening duties related to science curriculum and provide support for ad-hoc science programmes
2. Clean and organise science equipment
3. Maintain cleanliness of science labs
4. Manage and organise inventory list
5. Provide logistical support in department and school programmes
6. Support in administrative work, Microsoft applications - excel, word
7. Able to keep calm and work in dynamic environment
8. Assist with planting/greening activities held in eco-garden and it’s routine maintenance.
9. Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by HOD/LH-Science and/or Admin Manager
