Scope of work:

Deployment:

Scope of Works:

• Maintain a safe, clean and tidy laboratory environment.

• Ensure that all apparatus and equipment are safe and clean for use.

• Maintain laboratory equipment, apparatus, materials and specimens in good working condition.

• Report all faulty machines and equipment immediately, and display an “Out of Order” sign prominently on the machines/equipment.

• Ensure that all glass apparatus or breakages are disposed of appropriately.

• Ensure that Bunsen burners and high risk items (data loggers and microscopes) are properly kept and under lock and key.

• Inspect Bunsen burners to ensure they are in good condition.

• Keep a stock book and breakage record to indicate necessary replacement.

• Check and replenish first aid supplies.

• Aid Science teachers in preparing resources for laboratory lessons.

• Aid Science teachers during laboratory lessons, when required.

• Aid Science teachers with the clearing up after laboratory lessons, when required.

• Any other work assigned by the Science HOD.

The Services required are set out as follows:

• Manage the school’s reception counter and front desk support (e.g. handling enquiries, calls & walk-ins)

• Recording and distribution of mails

• Assist in general administrative and data entry duties (e.g. student early departure, student latecomers record, etc)

• Assist in stationery inventory management

• Assist in keypress management

• Any other duties assigned by the Authority.

Working Hours:

Mon to Fri : 8 am to 1 Pm (25 Hours/ week)

Scope of Works :

1. Attend to operational and maintenance matters in Science Laboratories & Art Rooms;

2. Operate simple life science equipment;

3. Prepare and set up equipment and assist teachers in conducting experiment;

4. Prepare materials for Art lessons;

5. Maintains and updates data records including stocktaking of resources;

6. Perform other general administrative duties e.g. filing and typing;

Scope of Service:

Job description including responsibilities, requirement, skills and experience

1. Maintenance of NFS rooms

a. Able to maintain orderliness and ensure cleanliness of the NFS food lab (kitchen), and preparation room. Such as:-

i. washing and drying of cleaning cloth, aprons

ii. cleaning of food science equipment,

iii. cleaning of teachers & students’ work area, for instance sinks, stoves, refrigerators,..etc

iv. mopping of kitchen floor,..etc

b. Organize & tidy teacher and student work unit such as table tops, drawers & sinks after each lesson and any other duties related to the maintenance of the NFS room.

c. Manage the equipment and appliances in the NFS food lab(kitchen) (need to be familiar with food science equipment)

d. Assist in checking that the main gas tap, electrical switches (oven) and knives are kept under lock & key.

2. Food Preparation

a. Able to manage the preparation of ingredients for lessons such as the cutting, weighing and packing of ingredients prior to lesson

b. Organise ingredients and equipment in the kitchen which includes the repacking of ingredients into proper storage areas (refrigerator, cupboards).

c. Take stock of perishable food daily and work closely with the teacher-in-charge.

d. Able to operate some of the kitchen and food science equipment such as hand held blender, electric streamer, rice cooker, refractometer etc.

3. Administrative duties

a. Able to manage the process of accepting and verifying food orders.

b. Able to support all NFS teachers in the food lab(kitchen) at all times (excluding lunch time & scheduled breaks)

4. Any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Requirement:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

· Applicants should have completed primary school education

· 3 years of prior experience in food handling, kitchen, or simple administrative duties in similar educational institutions.

· Should be able to work efficiently and independently.

Deployment:

• Mon to Fri: 7.00Am to 4.30 PM
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sudays and gazatted Public holidays.

Scope of Service:

Ensure that the day-to-day operation and administration of the general office is efficient and that the system, resources and equipment are well maintained, including:

• To handle frontline services and telephone enquiries
• To collate of returns from students (e.g. medical records form, dismissal slips)
• To render first aid to students
• To administer lost and found articles
• To manage and maintain the loan book
• To assist with general admin work like handling mails, faxing, monitoring pupils/teachers’ returns, receiving goods, photocopy assignments and certificate printing etc
• To administer bus booking
• To manage car decals for students’ parents
• To consolidate data and surveys
• To assist AMs in data entry and record keeping
• To disseminate information via Teachers’ Document Collection File
• Any other duties assigned by Admin Managers or School Leaders.

Requirement:

The Personnel shall minimally have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• At least a GCE O-level certification or equivalent.
• Proficient in basic IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Meticulous and organised.
• Communicates well in English and has good interpersonal skills.
• Preferably with experience in administrative and customer services.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

• Mondays to Thursdays: 7:00am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Fridays: 7:00am to 4:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
• Working hours may be adjusted occasionally, within the 42-hour per week limit, to meet school’s needs
• Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

The Services required are set out as follows:

· Assist teachers in the preparation of teaching materials, laboratory resources, conduct of practical sessions and preparation of worksheets;

· Provide support for programmes run by the department which may include shifting of bulky laboratory items;

Accompany students on learning journeys

· Manage inventory of school’s laboratory and science equipment and materials;

· Maintain cleanliness and neatness in the Science Laboratory; and

The Services required are set out as follows:

1. Assisting in basic clerical tasks such as printing, checking, and organizing financial assistance and bursary applications, as well as informing parents of the application outcomes and distributing approval letters.
2. Handling counter service and manage telephone enquiries (for e.g. attend to calls at the general office and relay messages to the relevant personnel), including helping to call parents fo absent students to gather reasons for their absence.
3. Printing and organizing school timetables.
4. Distributing hardcopy mails to designated recipients.
5. Updating staff attendance records in the General Office system.
6. Performing other general administrative tasks as delegated by school management.

Contract Period: From 25 March 2024 to 24 March 2025.

Personnel to be deployed at the following hours:

The Services required are set as follows:

1) Assisting teachers in Science labs / classroom

- Prepare materials before science lessons for P3 to P6

- Preparation of materials for practical tests

- Assisting teachers in the labs during Science lessons

2) Assist in the upkeep of equipment in Science Lab.

- Assisting Teacher IC with:

- recording of loaning/breakage materials

- annual stocking taking of materials in the science lab

- Checking and clearing of unwanted or discard of faulty materials

- Maintenances of equipment by checking the workability of the equipment

- Liaising with vendors to ensure maintenance and checks on equipment are carried out

3) Maintenance of science lab.

- Maintain the tidiness and cleanliness of the labs

- Changing of new displays in the display cabinets

- To disinfect Science Labs rooms as and when required

4) Any other administrative work related to maintenance and upkeep of Science Labs.

5) Assists General Office with general administrative duties.

- Provide administrative support at General Office

- Provide customer service at the reception counter – attend to visitors including parents, staff, pupils and vendors.

i. Answer phone calls within three rings, record phone messages and attend to walk-in enquiries

ii. Make phone calls e.g. helping sick pupils to call parents

iii. Attend to goods delivery and direct them to the appropriate locations

iv. Escort contractors

v. Assist in logistics matters for e.g. packing of items, preparation of rooms for school functions; etc

vi. Shredding of documents

vii. To perform gate duties during school arrival and dismissal time and during time of heavy traffic

- Any other duties assigned by Principal, Vice-Principal and HOD/Science deemed necessary for a Science Lab Assistant

Scope:

Reception

1. Manage Front Desk duties with customer service mindset meeting the realist challenges and demands of a Primary School setting
2. Answer phone calls, attend to walk-in visitors, takes messages, responds to enquiries and provide general useful information (in a dynamic environment where calls are volumous)
3. Maintain customer related information when required, eg phone log.
4. Communicate with teachers regarding parents’ feedback/ messages from phone calls or walk-in parents
5. Handle daily varied demands and queries from parents/students/ vendors/saff etc
6. Render first level assistance to walk-in students’ needs including sick and injured students. To escalate case to other colleagues in the office immediately if it is beyond superficial cases
7. Handle/support situation when students’ vomit, soiled their clothes
8. Assist student in times of need, eg lost & found items, change of uniform, locating teacher/classroom/parent
9. Assist in receiving of goods and incoming mails
10. Maintain tidiness of the Reception area at all times

General Admin

1. Assist in the counting / sorting / packing / distribution of brochures or leaflets/items to the teachers and students
2. Attend to students leaving school early
3. Assist in the dissemination of information: school circulars, parents’ messages
4. Manage stock of spare uniform
5. Keep stock of first aid items
6. Maintain the forms in the reception trays to ensure forms are current and replenished timely
7. Assist in Primary One registration such as making photocopies of documents; calling parents to submit forms etc
8. Support any othergeneral admin duties as and when required.
