Job Summary:
The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability are maintained throughout the production process. This role involves conducting thorough inspections, measurements, and tests to verify compliance with specifications and customer requirements. The Quality Technician will play a crucial role in the first article inspection of incoming Printed Circuit Boards (PCBs), conducting visual and measurement checks, performing kitting of components, and conducting outgoing quality checks post-assembly.
Additionally, this position involves generating detailed customer reports and maintaining equipment to ensure accurate and reliable testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first article inspection of all incoming Printed Circuit Boards to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct visual and measurement checks on PCBs to identify deviations from specifications and promptly reject or send for rework as necessary.
- Prepare components needed for PCB assembly through effective kitting processes.
- Conduct outgoing quality checks post-PCB assembly to identify and address issues such as shorts, opens, power ground shorts, and component damage.
- Generate comprehensive customer reports detailing inspection results and any relevant findings.
- Maintain measurement and microscope equipment in optimal working condition by following standard operating procedures and promptly requesting repairs when necessary.
- Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Continuously monitor and improve quality control processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all personnel.
- Document all quality-related activities and maintain accurate records for reference and analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- ITE OR Equivalent in Electrical / Electronics, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred with at least one year work Experience.
- Proven experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in electronics or PCB assembly.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements and inspections.
- Proficiency in using measurement tools, microscopes, and other testing equipment
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
