Job Responsibilities:

• To supervise and support the functions of incoming waste segregation including bulk waste and loose waste as well as weighbridge
• To constantly monitor improve the department performance. To conduct periodic review of existing work flows and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements and executing the improvement plans
• To supervise and ensure the effectiveness and smoothness of waste unloading, segregation and distribution
• Daily and regular inspection of the plant processes and monitor the working area 5S and TPM activities, safety and discipline at works, machineries and equipment conditions
• Ensure incoming waste streams being checked properly for suitable treatment processes and current safe work procedures are suitable for handling by operation staff
• As the core coordinator, lead and monitor the communication flow among internal departments on incoming waste discrepancy and revise related SOPs accordingly
• To evaluate and develop new treatment methods and handling procedures for new and unknown wastes, and review of operation costs and regular update to management
• To implement and supervise correct EHS practices within the department
• To work with resale for arrangement of recovered products to minimize the storage
• To prepare and analyze daily and monthly operation records/reports (e.g., cost, productivity, quality, nonconformance, etc) on plant processing and maintenance. And follow up necessary corrective actions and monitor consistently to relevant department staffs to follow up closely
• Regular briefing / training to be conducted to department staffs for safety handling of high flammable solvent, MSDS, PPE requirement and risk assessment before operations
• To activate emergency response team of operation and maintenance staffs and response to any in house spill and fire incident if in case of emergency situation.
• To liaise with EHS department to ensure fellow dept staff are upkeep with method of handling and emergency equipment usages in terms of spills and fire incident and to conduct regular practice and drill exercises with different scenarios to workers so that they are well familiar in emergency to response in time
• To ensure all fellow staffs are well trained according to OJT program and ensure they can follow up SOPs and work safely

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering or Chemistry
• At least 2 years relevant experience

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for setup of QC Laboratory at new site, including management and training of Laboratory analyst, Laboratory system establishment and management to achieve safe and stable commissioning and startup of the new plant
• Interpret laboratory results that are outside of the technical ability of the Lab Analysts
• Review all process and final product test results to check for validity and possible quality-related issues
• Assist quality lab manager in classification for final product and compounding lots
• Assist quality lab manager to develop and implement QC specifications and standards
• Assist quality lab manager to establish lab system according to HSEQ requirements
• Conduct method development and validation, review and upkeep SOP of test procedures, calibration procedures and analytical instruments
• Analyse, review and troubleshoot reliability issues of laboratory equipment and analysis problem and develop practical solutions
• Liaise with vendors to troubleshoot and maintain laboratory equipment
• Develop, implement, and follow calibration plan for equipment to ensure lab data is always accurate, consistent, and repeatable
• Manage lab external agency audits and management systems certification compliance
• Support Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, and Product Management functions
• Assist lab manager, production, or other departments with special projects, as needed
• Lead Special lab Projects and new grade trials
• Implement and participate in safety and quality improvement activities
• Evaluates reported results for consistency with plant process conditions
• Trains laboratory personnel on new instruments and procedures as needed
• Conduct internal audits on the proper execution of test methods
• Liaise with Supplier, execute procurement process and receipt
• Monitor and follow up on daily lab analysis result for accuracy and troubleshooting
• Task as assigned by QC Manager

Requirements:

• A bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field
• Min 5 years’ experience in analytical lab with manufacturing facility
• Experience required in new Laboratory set up, system establishment.
• Experience required with GC, ICP, GC-MS, Antek, KF, IR, UV, Extruder, DSC etc
