Roles & Responsibilities
- Capable of reading M&E and ELV drawing schematic diagram drawing.
- Support the project team in planning, scheduling and coordinating the M&E works (site).
- Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering projects and documentation (including shop/technical drawings, method of statement ,SOP of the works, site logging progress report & etc).
- Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
- Prepare, review and understand M&E designs and contract specification, prepare and submit variation order according to the requirement.
- Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel’s performance) and report regularly on project status.
- Coordinate with Clients/Main-Contractors/Sub-Contractors on project related matters to ensure smooth site execution.
- Supervise and monitor daily work activities of Sub-contractors to ensure proper adherence to job site safety policies and procedures.
- Comply with guidelines and regulations including permits, safety etc and deliver technical files and other technical documentation as required.
- Ensuring all health and safety (QHS) and sustainability policies and legislations are adhered to.
- Perform engineering design, load, and fault calculations.
- Check technical designs and drawings for accuracy and to ensure that they are followed correctly.
- Resolve technical issues related to installation, commissioning, and testing.
- Resolve drawing details and discrepancies.
- Review drawings for conflicts with M&E and liaising with consultants to resolve issues.
- Ensure the installation works are completed in accordance with the approved shop drawing, method statement, project specifications and relevant standards in order to meet project quality requirements.
- Attend regular site meetings with Clients/Main-Contractors/Sub-Contractors to discuss and resolve the site matters by providing assistance and technical support and proposing alternative effective and efficient construction methods or ideas for speed, quality and safe works.
- Assist Project/Site/Construction Manager on handling, monitoring and ensuring the project progress is within the schedule.
- Any other ad-hoc duties assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree or equivalent in M&E Engineering or relevant field.
- At least 3-4 Year(s) of working experience in M&E projects and site management in the local construction industry.
- Experience in Data Centre, good financial and budget control will be an advantage.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Knowledge in AutoCAD.
- Able to work work with tight schedule in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards.
