Job Summary
The successful candidate will collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to gather and understand data requirements while driving the implementation of broad data initiatives across the organization. This role is essential to ensure data solutions align with business objectives and improve overall data quality and usability.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business stakeholders and engineering teams to gather, understand, and translate data requirements for broader organizational data initiatives.
- Implement scalable data processes that can be reused across similar use cases and adapt to evolving business demands.
- Work with internal engineering teams and external data vendors to resolve technical data-related issues.
- Provide timely and effective support to end users, addressing data-related queries or issues.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for data management activities, including operating models, processes, implementation designs, and user acceptance test results.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of data initiatives, offering insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and best practices in data management.
Mandatory Skills
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data management, including areas like metadata, data quality, and data discovery, with a focus on enterprise-level data products.
- Strong understanding of financial data and data management best practices.
- Familiarity with the complex data security and technical challenges faced by large organizations.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL, including data storage and management in relational databases such as Snowflake, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle.
- Awareness of leading data management trends and practices in the financial industry, particularly those addressing data quality and business-technology alignment.
- Excellent analytical, communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
Preferred Skills
- Experience and knowledge of Python.
- Certification in data management or data quality (e.g., DAMA, CDMP) is an advantage
