As a senior member of the Marketing & Communications team, you are an experienced and driven individual who will be responsible for the development of marketing, communications, and content strategies to brand and position e2i as the leading organisation for employment and employability solutions. This includes partnering with the Team Lead and Deputy Team Lead in guiding the team to manage the communications, digital marketing, marketing, media relations and service quality efforts. You will also collaborate and build strong partnerships between internal and external stakeholders, to deliver effective branding, corporate communications, and marketing communications campaigns.
Job Responsibilities
Corporate Communications
- Develop comprehensive communication strategies and implementation plans that encompass Public Relations and various communication channels, including new social platforms, video content and other multimedia tools, for connecting with e2i’s target audiences to foster a stronger brand identity for e2i.
- Create impactful narratives and compelling content to promote e2i’s suite of programmes and services, including crafting media materials, profile stories and videos tailored for diverse audiences such as the media, public and partners.
- Lead the development and execution of public relations plans, including preparing media materials such as press releases and speeches, facilitating media interviews, and providing media responses and interview talking points.
- Serve as e2i’s representative with the media and cultivate strong relationships with media representatives to enhance e2i’s brand visibility and recall.
- Collaborate closely with other business units to integrate media communications initiatives within marketing strategies and campaigns, especially for key events and programmes.
- Refine Crisis Communications Management by anticipating potential issues and developing communications plans to effectively manage crises and issues as they arise
Marketing Communications
- Strategise, plan and execute the marketing and social media plans to support organisational and business objectives.
- Lead teams and manage multiple, concurrent marketing and communications projects to achieve success.
- Collaborate with other departments to align goals and maintain consistent branding and messaging.
- Drive brand awareness across traditional and digital platforms using innovative approaches.
- Oversee social account management and content creation.
- Explore and assess new channels and platforms to engage e2i’s audiences effectively.
- Manage agency and vendor relationships to deliver consistent, high-quality work.
- Measure and report on performance of marketing and digital initiatives and evaluate against predefined goals.
Operations, Planning and Budgeting
- Strategise the department’s short- and long-term plans, addressing critical issues in the marketing and communications area.
- Develop comprehensive plans outlining objectives and budgets to achieve the department’s strategic objectives.
- Constantly review department’s operations and recommend improvements and enhancements to optimise performance and efficiency.
- Stay ahead on the development in communications, governance, marketing, not-for-profit management, and public relations to integrate best practices into departmental strategies.
Job Requirements
- Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications and Business or related fields.
- Minimum 6-9 years of relevant experience in Public Relations, Corporate Communications, Journalism or Marketing, Digital Marketing or Marketing Communications.
- Prior supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
- Proven track record in account management, guiding internal clients in their marketing & communications needs and strategies.
- Strong organisational, multi-tasking and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience in working with and pitching to reporters.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage diverse internal and external stakeholders, including multi-agency and cross-functional teams.
- Track record of developing multi-channel marketing and communications plans, outreach campaigns and publicity materials for government agencies, national projects or programmes and services.
- Proficiency in crisis communications management and communications strategy development.
- Excellent writing and copy-editing skills with a keen eye for details
- Strong understanding of visual communications with a keen eye for creativity and aesthetics.
- A team player, with strong interpersonal skills to foster stakeholder networks and relationships.
- Critical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong resilience, adaptability, persuasion, and people management skills.
- A self-starter with drive and resourcefulness.
