Job Purpose
In our efforts to support the reduction of e-waste, we work actively with companies to
extend the lifespan of laptops through employees laptops buy-back scheme and
refurbishing used laptops for donation to disadvantaged communities.
As part of our expansion plans for the Sustainability Programme, we are looking for an
Executive to drive and grow the programme. EG supports corporations towards meeting
their ESG - Sustainability goals through a programme of enabling employees to
buy-back their decommissioned laptops and refurbishing the remaining
decommissioned laptops for donation to disadvantaged communities, as well as proper
disposal as e-waste for remaining damaged or obsolete laptops.
The Executive will liaise with corporations to work out the processes involved in
executing the laptop buy-back programme for their employees. The buy-back scheme
aims to support corporations in their sustainability efforts by allowing their employees to
purchase their decommissioned laptops for personal use, thus extending the useful
lifetime of the laptops and helping to reduce e-waste.
The Executive will act as the ambassador of EG, and play a crucial role in promoting
our causes of supporting disadvantaged communities. You will be the key person to
manage and ensure smooth operations of the buy-back programme and work closely
with corporations, volunteers and partners in this ecosystem of reducing the impact of IT
products on the environment, to devise strategies for the programme’s continued
success and growth.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the following:
- Represent EG in interactions with our corporate partners and customers of the Buy-back programme
- Organise and coordinate people, schedule, logistics and timeline
- Project manage and oversee various operational functions of the programme, including but not limited to: managing the programme budget, proactively monitoring its progress and communications with all stakeholders; Identify and initiate appropriate corrective actions to resolve issues; seek to streamline and optimise processes
- Training and mentoring interns to support the operations
- Maintain good records of data collected for programme evaluation and reporting purposes
- Understand and uncover the needs of corporates so that EG can further support their sustainability goals
- Be a champion for environmental sustainability and promote the reduction of e-waste through laptop buy-backs
- Provide IT support to reinstall Windows OS and other necessary drivers
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing any related work as needed by EG to fulfil its mission
Qualifications

- Tech savvy, keen interests in IT/computer/software technology
- Experience in troubleshooting common computer/laptop hardware and software.
- Familiar with software (OS, drivers) installation
- Ability to code with PowerShell or Python will be an advantage

^Note that this is a Singapore-based role and is only open to those who do not require a
