Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of Finance Department
• Ensure all financial and statutory reports are accurate and submitted timely
• Ensure payments made are in order, properly verified and authorized
• Assist the Investment Committee Chairman with the management of the Investment Portfolio including the Fixed Deposits
• Manage financial planning including daily and monthly funds management and working capital management for the Company
• Prepare annual cashflow forecast, Shareholders’ funds accounts, Insurance funds accounts for the Company and present the annual budget to the Board for approval
• Analyse actual and compare the results with the budgets
• Conduct regular review of the accounting system and procedures, and be responsible for enhancements of system
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of the Companies Act, Accounting Standards, MAS Regulations, Insurance Act and to respond to any queries from the MAS.
• Liaise with the internal and external auditor to co-ordinate the audit process till completion
• Liaise with the Company actuary on the annual certification of the Company’s premium liabilities and on the annual stress testing exercise
• Co-ordinate with the Company Secretary on all secretarial matters, including the annual AGM and the regular Board of Directors’ meeting

Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification in Accountancy; CPA preferred
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a senior finance leadership role of a financial services firm
• Strong foundation in finance and in-depth understanding of internal controls, corporate governance, regulatory compliance and accounting standards
• Familiar with MAS regulatory reporting requirements and IFRS 17 knowledge
• Numerically-inclined, meticulous and well-organised
• Highly driven with the ability to drive result and ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure

Responsibility

• Analyze and handle Motor insurance claims within turnaround time
• Adopt proactive approach to evaluate and negotiate the resolution of claims, while mitigating damages to achieve cost-effective claim outcomes
• Obtain reserving, settlement and payment authority in accordance with authority level
• Resolve claims settlement disputes using various mechanism such as arbitration and mediation (if any)
• Manage appeal process for rejected claims
• Detect potential fraudulent claims
• Manage customer communications on claims matter
• Conduct regular files review and reserve monitoring
• Exercise good claims management to achieve target claims result

Requirement

• At least Diploma and above
• Possess BCP, PGI and ComGI
• At least 1 year of relevant claims assessment experience
• At least 5 years of relevant claims assessment experience (for Senior Position)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Team Player
• Good communication, problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills

Responsibility

• Manage endorsement, cancellation, and renewal process within department’s service turnaround time
• Underwrite and provide Foreign Worker Bonds’ quotation
• Monitor renewal business to ensure high renewal retention
• Provides ongoing service support and engage customer on a regular basis to maintain relationships
• Support Customer Care Counter duties which include attending to phone call, emails, walk-in and process credit card transaction

Requirement

• Diploma and above with 3 – 5 years of related experience
• Possess Certificate in General Insurance and Certificate in Health Insurance
• Strong interpersonal, negotiating and presentation skills
• Able to work effectively and under pressure
• Result-oriented and self-driven
• Ability to work independently and as a team
