Introduction
The Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) is home to a community of doctoral, postdoctoral and professorial researchers working in three main programmes: Future Cities Laboratory, Future Resilient Systems, and Future Health Technologies. The centre provides a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment to researchers working on diverse themes, with the shared vision of translating research to practical solutions for more sustainable and liveable cities, resilient physical and social urban systems, and patient-centric healthcare systems.
Project background
In collaboration with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), the National University of Singapore (NUS), Duke - NUS, the National Health Group (NHG), National University Health System (NUHS), and SingHealth, SEC runs a research program on "Future Health Technologies (FHT)". In this programme, multidisciplinary teams develop a future-oriented mobile digital health concept which combines scientific and technological innovations with clinical, industry and other stakeholder needs. It tackles care for the increasing number of patients suffering from chronic diseases, particularly diabetes, obesity and stroke. Leveraging on scalable digital technologies, the team aims to transform the healthcare system towards a community-based and patient centric model along the continuum of care. Within this framework we are announcing the following job opening. This role is positioned within the leadership team of FHT. The position is highly related to collaborating with entire FHT and SEC team. Collaboration and cooperation are key skills.
Job description
The scope of work shall comprise of but shall not be limited to:
Personnel Management (in collaboration with SEC's HR team and FHT management team)
- Prepare, check, coordinate and take responsibility of the hiring processes for FHT with SEC HR
- Manage personnel database and report generation
- Support FHT PIs and researchers on various administrative tasks (eg: contract extensions/changes, new hiring etc).
- Prepare and manage any kind of contracts with actual and future entities/partners.
Infrastructure Management (in collaboration with relevant FHT and SEC teams)
- Manage the infrastructure and resource requirements in the FHT work spaces
- Manage FHT software and hardware requirements with SEC IT
- Organise and manage Assets
- Manage purchase of assets for FHT
Other tasks
- Manage day to day operations to run the programme smoothly with FHT team
- Strategizes process improvements along with the FHT team
- Communicate with CREATE building management teams to coordinate room bookings and IT arrangements for meetings
- Assist in meeting logistics (ex: coordinating guests, arranging food/IT etc logistics) as needed during meetings and events
- Assist FHT in simple Finance tasks where needed
Requirements
- Minimum a bachelor’s degree with 3 years of experience in management, operations and leadership.
- Strong communication skills (good command of English, both written and spoken)
- Proactive team player and a self-initiator
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
- Independent and takes responsibility for tasks assigned
