Introduction
ETH Zurich is one of the leading universities of the world with a strong focus on science and engineering. In 2010 it established the Singapore-ETH Centre (SEC) in collaboration with the National Research Foundation (NRF) to do interdisciplinary research on pressing problems.
The Singapore-ETH Centre is home to a community of doctoral, postdoctoral and professorial researchers working in three main programmes: Future Cities Laboratory Global, Future Resilient Systems, and Future Health Technologies. The centre provides a multicultural and interdisciplinary environment to researchers working on diverse themes, with the shared vision of translating research to practical solutions for more sustainable and liveable cities, resilient physical and social urban systems, and patient centric healthcare systems.
The SEC is seeking candidates for the position of Internal Assessment and Change Manager. The position offers the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, multicultural environment with researchers from diverse disciplines and backgrounds focusing on topics such as sustainability, liveability, resilience, and health.
Job Description
- Assisting the establishment and further development of processes and IT structures and applications.
- Assessment and analysis of the SEC’s accounting/controlling process and modification in alignment with the legal requirements of Switzerland and Singapore.
- Establishment of the role "Information Security Officer (ISO)" upon successful completion of preliminary clarifications with the important stakeholders and derive the requirements for the "ISO" role in accordance with the specifications required by SEC.
- Assessment and review of the risk management processes in place at SEC, ensuring it is compliant to the legal requirements.
- Analysis, redesign and documentation of various SEC processes with a view to possible ISO 9001 certification. Implementation of process management, visualization and library system at SEC.
- Development and implementation of a pooling concept from procurement to management of all infrastructures required for the SEC’s research programs, taking into account the purchasing guidelines and financial regulations of Switzerland and Singapore.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in process management, internal process structure, IT requirement specification and the implementation of IT-applications in an existing environment.
- Knowledge of financial management, in particular the accounting guidelines and financial regulations of Zurich and Singapore.
- Knowledge of the risk management guidelines and framework, covering compliance, environmental and procurement risks (based on ISO 31000).
- Knowledge of the process management and library system
- Extensive Knowledge of legal basis in IT-Security
- Good understanding legal IT procedures
- Good knowledge of German language as the relevant legal and process documents are only available in the national languages of Switzerland. This is also important to establish communication with the responsible stakeholders at Switzerland.
