Roles & Responsibilities:
- Uphold the confidentiality, integrity, quality, technical, health and safety aspects of the company.
- Perform routine testing on incoming samples within stipulated holding time, requirement and protocol applicable to requested test
- Participate and pass any required proficiency test and interlaboratory analysis
- Assist in reviewing SOPs, should there be any updates
- Preparation of general laboratory work like media and perform housekeeping to maintain the cleanliness of the laboratory, equipment and apparatus
- Maintenance of small equipment such as balance & pH meter to ensure optimum performance
- Perform all required and tasked internal QC duties
- Convey difficulties and problems to the next level of hierarchy (Microbiologists or Senior Microbiologists)
- Extra tasks and jobs as required by Senior Microbiologists and/or Lab Manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- Minimum Advanced/Specialist Diploma in Biological Sciences or Science-related fields
- At least 1-year relevant experience in laboratory, inclusive of internship
- Good communication skill, personality and teamwork oriented
- Dynamic and adaptable to change in schedule, operations and requirements at short notice
- Good command in English both written and spoken
