We are seeking a dedicated Data Center Security Project Management Specialist to oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects related to physical and digital security in our data centers. This role combines expertise in security systems with project management skills to ensure that all security measures are implemented effectively, on time, and within budget.

• Develop project plans for implementing or upgrading physical and digital security systems, including surveillance, access control, and fire suppression systems.
  Define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets in alignment with organizational goals.
• Supervise the installation and maintenance of security systems in data center facilities.
  Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
• Ensure all security measures meet regulatory and industry standards (e.g., ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
  Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation plans to address potential vulnerabilities.
• Track project progress using project management tools, ensuring milestones are met.
  Conduct regular quality checks and tests on security systems to ensure functionality and reliability.
• Prepare detailed reports on project status, security performance, and compliance.
  Maintain accurate documentation for all security-related projects.
• Develop and implement response plans for security incidents.
  Train staff and stakeholders on emergency protocols and security procedures.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Security Management, Project Management, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in security operations and project management, preferably in a data center environment.
• Strong understanding of physical security systems, access control, and surveillance technologies.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Agile).
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, or CPP are an advantage.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
  

Job Responsibilities
In the establishment and expansion of overseas data centers, the Site Selection Specialist will assist the Site Selection TPM (Technical Program Manager) in coordinating communication with candidate data centers, as well as with procurement and engineering teams, and tracking each step of feedback from suppliers.
For existing data centers, manage lease renewals by notifying stakeholders 6 months prior to contract expiration to decide on renewal.
In overseas decommissioning projects, assist the Site Selection TPM in communicating with data centers regarding the feasibility and specific plans for decommissioning, and track the implementation of each preliminary action discussed.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Over 3 years of experience in data center construction or on-site operations and maintenance; experience with Alibaba data centers is preferred.
• Project management experience; holders of PMP or equivalent certifications are preferred.
• IT background with familiarity in areas such as network architecture, servers, and fiber optics is preferred.
• Fluent in English and Chinese; proficiency in an additional local language is an advantage.
• Willingness to commute to multiple sites within the region; possession of a local driver’s license is preferred.

1. Monitor real-time security operations at overseas IDC, including personnel and asset surveillance. Respond promptly to security incidents, coordinate, and follow up on incident handling to ensure stable, secure, and efficient overseas data center operations.

2. Develop and optimize operational management standard procedures, and establish the framework for IDC security operation management systems. Enhance the standardization of global data center operations.

3. Oversee the construction of the IDC alarm, incident, risk, and drill management system. Drive execution through data-driven approaches, and facilitate the evolution towards automation and intelligence.

4. Collaborate in optimizing the security operation management platform, contributing to the development of automation tools for centralized and refined management of global IDC.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or higher, with a preference for a major in computer/electronics.

2. Over 2 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating operational and management expertise in large-scale security service projects.

3. Familiarity with security incident emergency response processes. Ability to track, analyze, handle, and resolve various security issues and incidents. Understanding of relevant security standards, regulations, and security systems.

4. Preferably with a background in the security industry or a large security services company.

5. Proficient in both Chinese and English languages.
