Role description:
As a Head of Risk Management at Finalto Asia, you will play a crucial role in steering the risk management strategy and ensuring the daily oversight of our Trading Platforms. Your primary focus will be on FX instruments, requiring a comprehensive understanding of risk factors associated with these markets. Beyond the responsibilities of a Dealer, your role will extend to proactive risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, contributing to the overall financial health and compliance of the organization
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of a robust risk management strategy for FX markets, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee the daily risk management of Trading Platforms, particularly focusing on FX instruments, to maintain operational integrity and compliance.
• Drive initiatives to optimize yield and income through strategic risk planning, innovative risk management approaches, and effective execution.
• Perform routine monitoring tasks to assess system performance and optimize risk parameters, especially for FX trading.
• Review client accounts related to FX trading activity and platform performance, providing timely and effective risk-related resolutions.
• Execute FX client orders accurately, ensuring risk considerations are integral to the process.
• Monitor exposure due to FX and OTC trading activity, providing relevant risk reports as required.
• Ensure adherence to the company's internal risk management protocols, as well as applicable laws and directives, within the FX and OTC market context.
• Collaborate with the Head of Dealing and CEO, providing risk management insights for operational and strategic decision-making in the FX and OTC markets.
• Stay up to date with market information in the FX and OTC domains, preparing comprehensive risk reports to inform decision-making.
• Perform any other risk management tasks assigned by the Head of Dealing and/or the CEO within the FX and OTC market segments.
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in finance, Mathematics, or a relevant field.
· MAS qualification is required.
· Minimum of 7 years' experience in a similar role with a specialization in FX and OTC markets.
· Extensive experience in FX (Futures, Options, and Over-the-Counter) trading, as well as hedging, is essential.
· Has at least 5 years of experience in supervising FX operations or assumed role such as "Responsible Officer" in FX industry for at least 3 years
· Good knowledge of the regulatory regime for financial markets and investment firms within the FX and OTC space.
· A proven understanding of the financial and capital markets, especially in FX and OTC contexts, is a significant advantage.
· Has proven track records in setting up FX dealing desk is advantageous
· Fluency in English, Mandarin both written and verbal.
· Computer literacy and the ability to work with multiple systems simultaneously.
