The data team has grown from 1 Business Intelligence Analyst to 4 members in the past year. The team's vision, mission, and scope have expanded from on-demand reporting to high-scale data management platform engineering. The resulting systems will be the cornerstone of pushing Flowdesk activity to the next level.

It will enable the development of in-house data products and improve the performances of both tech and trading daily operations.

Now, we are seeking a Business Analyst – Trading Data Specialist to bridge the gap between trading teams and data operations.

In this role, you will focus on producing, reconciling, and ensuring the accuracy of critical trading data. Your insights and problem-solving skills will directly contribute to the efficiency and performance of our trading operations.

Your mission will be to

• Collaborate with trading teams to understand data requirements and ensure timely delivery of actionable insights.
• Design and implement processes to generate, validate, and reconcile trading data across systems.
• Investigate and resolve data discrepancies, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reports and dashboards.
• Analyse trading performance metrics, identifying trends, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and tools to provide traders with real-time data insights.
• Create detailed documentation for data workflows, reconciliation processes, and reporting standards.
• Partner with stakeholders to define and prioritize data-related projects and improvements.
• Identify inefficiencies in data production and reconciliation processes, proposing and implementing improvements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices for data management and reporting.
• Support the automation of repetitive tasks to streamline data workflows.

Background and experience

• Fluency in English (French is a plus).
• Strong understanding of trading operations and financial instruments (crypto, derivatives, spot …).
• Proven experience in data analysis, reconciliation, and reporting within a trading or financial environment.
• Proficiency in data tools and technologies, such as SQL, Dbt, and Looker.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data processing is a plus.
• Experience with databases and data pipelines; knowledge of data warehousing solutions is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data to non-technical stakeholders.

As the Trading Operations Analyst APAC, you will be responsible for overseeing critical aspects of our trading operations in the APAC region during weekends (with an adapted schedule from Thursday to Monday for example). You will play a key role in shaping trading strategies, ensuring governance and compliance, and managing the daily operational activities of the trading team. Your ability to manage risk, coordinate interdepartmental activities, and foster strong client relationships will be essential to the success of our trading operations in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Strategy & Governance

• Manage trading routes for efficiency and profitability.
• Establish and maintain governance structures.
• Enforce transaction authorization policies and document optimized trading processes.
• Oversee tools and external service providers.

Security & Risk Management

• Implement transaction monitoring for trading events and funding activities.
• Safeguard vault and whitelisted addresses.

Interdepartmental Coordination

• Facilitate communication between departments.
• Provide operational tools for efficiency.
• Streamline client deployments and trading launches.

Database & System Management

• Maintain databases and ensure system interoperability.
• Manage security tools and configurations.

Reporting & Analytics

• Generate PnL reports and manage fund deployment.

Critical Task Handling

• Open exchange accounts.
• Manage new fees and aggregation feeds.

Background and skills

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications a plus).
• At least 2 years of experience in cryptocurrency trading operations or financial markets.
• Strong knowledge of cryptocurrency exchanges, trading platforms, and blockchain technology.
• Excellent understanding of risk management and security protocols in the cryptocurrency industry.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and make informed decisions under pressure.
• Regulatory compliance knowledge and experience is highly desirable.
