MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid MOE registration
- Minimum Diploma in Counselling or any equivalent qualification
- Competent to handle the tasks and responsibilities assigned
- Have preferably 3 years of coaching experience in GEAR-UP Programme (must provide a list of current and past training conducted for similar programme from 1 Jan 2020)
Contract Period: 3 Feb 2025 to 31 Oct 2025
- Estimated 88 sessions, i.e. 4 sessions per week x 22 weeks
- Estimated total 242 training hours
Working hours:
- Mon, Tue, Thu: 2.30pm to 5.30pm
- Wed: 2.30pm to 4.30pm
- Excluding public holidays, school holidays and CCA stand down period for exams
Job Description:
- Enable students to learn and apply Social – Emotional skills and competencies such as self-awareness, self-management, relationship management, social awareness and responsible decision making
- Strengthen school connectedness to foster positive educational outcomes
- Provide a safe and supportive environment for identified students
- Build positive relationship through significant adults and positive peer groups
- Provide opportunities to grow and contribute through Service and Learning
- Support students who are identified as Pre-LTA (Long Term Absentee) through timely interventions measures
- Work closely with the teacher-in-charge to develop students’ social emotional learning
- Develop an appropriate programme outline to achieve the desired outcomes to
- support the different groups of students: latchkey kids, pre-LTA (Long Term Absentee), exhibit at-risk behaviour. The activities for each level should be differentiated to meet the learning needs and support the different group of students. The programme for each level should be structured into a 10-week programme per term with implementation plans to fulfill the learning outcomes. The activities conducted should include learning journeys or activities conducted outside the school venue for at least 2 sessions per term
- Work in consultation with the teacher-in-charge to finalize the programmes
- Provide timely updates and review case management with the school and the stakeholders at least once a month
