Introduction 

GLOBALFOUNDRIES is seeking an experienced TCAD (Technology Computer Aided Design) / engineer to address integration and device questions for a wide range of logic and memory technologies.  This person will focus upon use of commercial TCAD tools for guiding device and integration optimization.  
 

Your Job    

• TCAD support to both bulk and SOI technologies, from 180nm to 12nm node, at both low and high voltages: basic DC operation on Bipolar, CMOS, DMOS devices, RF characteristics, isolation, non-volatile (flash) devices, and electrostatic discharge (ESD).

• Anticipate integration/process issues, based on provided information from integration, process or design enablement teams

• Facilitate discussion with originating team to identify simulations that highlight critical  process interactions and drive optimal technology decisions

• Apply commercial simulation software to mimic semiconductor process flows and highlight the area of concern.

• Extensive interaction with integration, device, and design engineers to assure development of a working technology

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications: 

• Education : Bachelor or Master's or Ph.D in Engineering / Science

• B.S with 10 years of relevant experience

• M.S. with minimum of 8 years of relevant experience

• PhD with minimum of 6 years of relevant experience

• Semiconductor TCAD and/or process modeling experience

• Solid understanding of semiconductor processes and integration techniques

• Good computer / software skills

• Ability to clearly present results to small and large groups
   

Preferred Qualifications:    

• PhD + 8 years of relevant experience

• Demonstrated work performance in an environment requiring high level of attention to detail and timeliness

Introduction

A Reliability Engineer perform stress test & evaluate the device/product lifecycle and highlight any failures or issues. Focus area is on memory device and CPI reliability. The candidate will provide support to the organization on reliability setup, test & analysis, work with vendor and support customer engagement.

Your Job       

• SRAM/Flash/NVM/OTP/MTP/eFUSE/CPI reliability setup & analysis, and handle PRM (Periodic reliability monitoring)

• Work with customer/vendor to design & bring in hardware & software for reliability characterization.

• Establish wafer and/or package level test methodologies and test program.

• Support customer engagement in reliability aspects. Provide reliability presentations for customer visit. Participate in reliability risk assessment meetings with customers.

Required Qualifications:

• Education - Bachelor/Master/PhD degree in Engineering or Science.

• Years of Experience - 2 years of relevant experience in reliability tests.

• Knowledge of wafer fabrication.

• Knowledge of MOS Device Physics and Reliability Statistics.

• Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.

• Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.

Project 1 Title  

Facility SPC Analysis and Documentation Management 

Project Objective / Purpose (Introduction) 

To understand the Mechanical Application and Environmental Impact in wafer fab with the control and monitoring using SPC Data Analysis and Documentation Management. 

Project Description     

Clean room design, concept and variables affecting the cleanroom environment. 

Project Outcome 

Intern will be knowledgeable on the Semiconductor Cleanroom overall Management and Control to achieve product conformity through proper data analysis, understanding of the cause and effect of manufacturing activities in a controlled process and develop capability to give recommendation for system improvement and control. 
 

Project 2 Title: Facilities Ultra Pure Water (UPW)

Project Objective 

Wafer fabrication is the fundamental of all electronics and its applications in the semiconductor supply chain. 

This project aims to share knowledge and expertise on the Semiconductor Facilities Building Estate Quality Management which encompasses maintaining Cleanroom operation and sustainability. 

Project Description: 

Interns will get exclusive insights and hands-on experience in Global Foundries’ state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing environment. Through shadowing experts in the field and assisting in works in Facilities, you will gain a deeper understanding on the Facilities Ultra Pure Water and the different Quality Management tools in semiconductor industries. Development of system automation for early detection and control. 

Interested applicants should be inquisitive and have a positive learning attitude. 

Project Outcome 

Interns will gain knowledge and expertise on the Ultra Pure Water, its operation and sustainability process, and master different Quality Tools in the semiconductor industries. 

At the end of the internship, a presentation of learning experience with recommendations for improvement is required. 

Project 3 Title: Facilities Building Estate Quality Management (BEQ)
