Position: Systems Deployment Engineer – Distributed Cloud Airgapped

Description:
We are seeking a Systems Deployment Engineer to lead the installation and deployment of air-gapped cloud solutions. The role involves configuring various technologies, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Deploy and configure air-gapped cloud solutions.
- Install, configure, and manage technologies including network switches, firewalls, storage systems, servers, and hardware security modules.
- Set up IT infrastructure for Operations Centers, including workstations and equipment for managing air-gapped cloud solutions.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure or software issues during deployments, collaborating with engineering teams as needed.
- Enhance deployment and management processes for air-gapped cloud solutions through collaboration with stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Linux operating systems and compute infrastructure, including cloud solutions support and development.
- Proven experience in designing, deploying, and managing enterprise solutions.
- Proficiency in managing hosted services/SaaS, with familiarity in programming/scripting languages such as Java, C, C++, .NET, Go, Python, shell scripting, Perl, or JavaScript.
- Experience in managing Kubernetes extensibility through Custom Resources and Custom Controllers.
- Solid understanding of network switching, VLANs, subnetting, IP addressing, routing, and network troubleshooting.
Preferred Qualifications:
- In-depth knowledge of enterprise-grade operating systems, particularly Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and network administration.
- Understanding of virtualization in Kubernetes, service mesh architectures, and public key infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Cisco switches, network overlay technologies like VxLAN and VRF, and routing protocols.
- Experience in troubleshooting and supporting large-scale applications, including web services, data storage, databases, and high-performance computing on Linux/Unix or Windows platforms.
- Prior experience in data center operations is advantageous.
