Job Description
- Serve as a database expert focusing on relational databases, handling tasks like modeling, migration, performance testing, and operations.
- Work with both open-source and commercial databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Provide technical expertise and support for database compatibility, deployment, administration, and migration.
- Lead technical discussions, presentations, and proofs-of-concept with clients.
- Address client challenges by identifying business and technical solutions, including post-sales implementation.
- Monitor competitive and complementary technologies to position the company's database effectively.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve database products and market presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred.
- At least five years of technical customer-facing experience, with a background as a database administrator or architect being advantageous.
- Strong skills in SQL and familiarity with major databases (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Snowflake, MongoDB).
- Experience with cloud database environments and multi-stakeholder team collaboration.
- Fluent in English; basic proficiency in Mandarin is a bonus.
- Occasional travel within ASEAN and beyond.
- Additional knowledge of programming languages like Java, Python, or Node.js is an advantage.
