Job Description:

• Work in customer’s leased or owned Data centers, Customer operated Warehouse spaces, and other areas as designated, providing on site Security support.
• Hands-on involvement for assigned data center activities such as: conducting daily site walks, diagnosing security hardware issues and reporting findings for immediate escalation.
• Conduct inspections via provided forms of Critical spaces within the Data Center, including Data Halls, Storage Rooms, loading docs, and other areas as assigned.
• Support security & safety incidents as a first responder, documenting findings and providing written reports.
• Support high value/high priority rack moves and deployments, as a security overviewer.
• Participates in the site safety compliance program by reporting violations.
• Participating in physical audits for data center infrastructure.

Data Center Facility Management Technician from junior to senior level working at the client's sites.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the assigned data centers' facility operations.
• Regular physical / visual inspection equipment and data center operations facilities.
• Work with DCO-FM to create procedure and risk analysis for site operation.
• Liaise with DC Providers for all Mechanical & Electrical maintenance servicing affecting Data Halls.
• Collate and review all Data Centers' Maintenance Schedule, ensure minimal interference during Block Days.
• Review documents submitted by DC Providers such as MOP, RA, etc for maintenance activities.
• Track and record facility maintenance activities and change requests.
• Raise and manage Change Management requests for all maintenance servicing activities.
• Provide onsite support during scheduled maintenance / change events.
• Provide regular reporting on progress as required (move, change, support request and change) and develop continuous improvement capabilities.
• Respond to facilities level crisis management activities including, but not limited to, power outages, HVAC outages, fire alarms and security concerns.

Requirements

TikTok Role Insight: We are looking for an experienced Operations Engineer where you will be able to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment. You will have a strong knowledge of server hardware and mechanical/electrical infrastructure at a large-scale datacenter, which is critical to this role. You will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving server issues, escalating issues and working collaboratively with remote teams. Additionally, you will work within the server rack lifecycle process and focus on helping buildout computing and storage environments.

You will also need to have working knowledge and experience in at least one of the following core areas: Networking, Scripting, and Hardware Repair.
