- Manage the day-to-day running and maintenance of IT systems (servers, networks, applications) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Guide and support junior team members, contributing to the development of IT operational standards and procedures.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for IT systems, configurations, and procedures to facilitate knowledge sharing and efficient operations.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to support IT projects, including planning, upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiating contracts and SLAs to ensure quality service and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with finance teams to manage IT budgets, procurements, and financial planning.
- Address and resolve escalated IT issues and incidents, serving as a key technical contact for troubleshooting and support.
- Analyze IT performance metrics and KPIs, generating reports to track performance and identify improvement areas.
- Act as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and best practices to foster professional growth within the IT team.
- Take ownership of IT responsibilities, working with a sense of urgency and self-motivation.
- Monitor IT systems for security threats and performance issues, proactively addressing them to minimize downtime and prevent data breaches.
- Conduct regular audits and evaluations of IT infrastructure and processes, identifying and implementing improvements.
- Provide daily updates and reports to the Team Leader on ongoing activities and issues.
Requirements:
- At least 3-5 years of experience in supporting IT infrastructure operations within the ICT industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless devices, servers, PCs, mobile devices, Office applications, and PDF tools.
- Experience with managing incident response processes efficiently.
- Proficient in system administration tasks and familiar with various operating systems.
- knowledge of IT infrastructure, including networking technologies, ITILv4, AWS, Azure, Cisco, HP, Dell, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and SolarWinds.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality and dependable work consistently.
