Within Corporate Treasury, Resource Deployment and Strategy (“RDS”) is a unique opportunity for individuals at all levels to manage the firm’s balance sheet from both an asset and liability perspective and directly contribute to executing the firm’s strategy. Working closely with the Global Treasurer and other members of senior management, RDS is responsible for the design and execution of the firm’s central funding plan as well as the primary point of contact for all business lines through Treasury’s global “business coverage” model. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We’re looking for a professional to join our RDS team in Singapore. This individual is expected to contribute to decisions regarding financial resource management, as well as serve as Treasury’s main point of contact with businesses which consume or generate funding

• Develop and iteratively optimize the firm’s funding liability strategy, considering cost, channel diversification, maturity concentration, and impact to key liquidity and capital metrics, with a focus on APAC entities
• Build models, develop analytical frameworks, and conduct scenario analysis to help inform marginal liability management and financial resource allocation decisions based on liquidity availability, marginal costs, return profile, and franchise benefits
• Partner with key stakeholders in Global Banking and Markets, Asset and Wealth Management, and Platform Solutions to deploy the firm’s balance sheet, and to facilitate new activities
• Develop reporting for, and present analyses of, firmwide and subsidiary-level funding plans, for use by internal and external stakeholders, including firmwide senior management, regulators, and investors
• Engage with external stakeholders including regulatory agencies, ratings agencies, and funding counterparties in various forums

QUALIFICIATIONS

• Approximately 1 year of working experience in Treasury or a finance-related function in a major financial institution or corporate
• Excellent analytical skills, with ability to formulate problems, test hypotheses, and condense complex problems into plain language
• Experience managing and interpreting large amounts of data, and analyzing the output to identify trends and present solutions through business intelligence tools such as Tableau
• Functional understanding of financial institution financial reports, as well as subsidiary liquidity and capital requirements such as LCR, NSFR, and the G-SIB surcharge
• Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to produce polished presentation materials for senior executives
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills

Prime Services provides securities financing, securities lending and other client services (securities clearance and settlement, asset servicing reporting and technology, risk management tools) to the firm's hedge fund clients. Salespeople in Prime Brokerage Sales are responsible for spearheading relationships with both start-up and established hedge funds. We leverage our strong relationships both across the firm and with our clients to prospect and onboard new hedge fund business. Business Area Description:

The Synthetic Product Group (SPG) business offers institutional clients and hedge funds products which are optimal with respect to tax, balance sheet and funding. Business revenues come from commissions, financing, and dividends through the trading of CFD and Equity Swap OTC instruments alongside futures, ETFs, and structured products. It is part of a front to back alignment where engineers are embedded with the revenue generating part of the business. Asset Management Operations

We provide customized service to our clients and enable our business to grow the Asset Management franchise across traditional and alternative products. Our teams execute within a front to back operating model, delivering support across the client, product, and investment lifecycle. We also conduct risk oversight, provide change management, business intelligence, and market solutions for the division.

The Global Shareholder Services has teams in Chicago, London, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore. We are responsible for the ongoing Client Services and Transfer Agent vendor management covering over 1,000 Goldman Sachs offshore mutual funds across a wide range of client types including Third Party Distributors, Banks, Institutions and High Net Worth individuals.

Role Summary & Responsibilities

As a Shareholder Services Asia Client Services Manager, you will work closely with Shareholder Services and relevant stakeholders across the region, managing investors / client facing teams to ensure service delivery is maintained at a highest quality. Additionally, you will support other Shareholder Services functions in onboarding new clients, protecting and maintaining existing clients. In addition, you will be collaborating with internal teams and service providers (e.g. transfer agents) to offer guidance and manage Services related solutions, and continuously enhancing our process in line with best market practice.

Plan and lead the end to end process of implementation & transition events including client onboarding and change, asset take-on / take-off activities, and account terminations.

• Project-management approach to client onboarding & change events including complex portfolio structures across the asset classes.

CONFLICTS RESOLUTION GROUP

The Conflicts Resolution Group (CRG) evaluates a wide range of the firm’s business activities, including advisory, financing, principal investing, lending and certain other activities, in order to identify, assess, and manage actual or perceived conflicts of interest resulting from the firm’s new and existing roles, positions, and responsibilities, as well as reputational risks. Ledgers Engineering is a part of a growing team in Singapore that collaborates with colleagues around the world to deliver our new strategic post trade portfolio platform and build the next generation platform.

We are a fully data centric function that is responsible for managing the Books and Records for the firm. All client activities and position management are taken care by our highly scalable systems that deal with about 100 million transactions daily. The data we produce is distributed to numerous consumers for performing various business functions.

Our strategic new platform is a brand new/greenfield initiative to converge all of our businesses onto a single technology platform, to proving much better scalability, improved resiliency and reducing the time needed to develop and deliver new features. The programme is sponsored by our division’s senior leadership and is one of the key strategic deliveries of the next few years.

All our projects are cross-location and cross-function. We work directly with Front office, Mid-office, Operations, Legal, Tax, Client Reporting and Regulatory Reporting and Engineering colleagues directly and that gives the opportunity to learn about the financial markets and asset classes.

The team is also responsible for generating the client statements, interest calculations and anomaly detection from daily activity across all Goldman Sachs. We use leading edge technologies for the data management and distribution such as Apache Iceberg and Snowflake. The anomaly detection platform uses bigdata technologies for detecting and reporting trade anomalies from the significant volume of data.

The applications and functions are going through complete technology transformation now with vision of resiliency, future sustainability and scalability to manage ever-increasing data volumes and be part of this journey of evolution for the next generation data centric platforms.

Private Wealth Management (PWM) secures, develops and manages relationships with high net worth individuals, their families, family offices and foundations. PWM assists clients with building and preserving their financial wealth by creating and implementing long-term asset allocation within the context of each client’s particular risk tolerance, and by providing access to innovative investment ideas and opportunities. PWM professionals develop customized investment strategies and offer a full array of wealth management products and services, including private banking and trust company services.

Analysts and Associates in the Asia PWM Management Team have a unique opportunity to work directly with senior management on the development and implementation of strategic and tactical initiatives. You will be a key liaison for the broader management team across the Asia Pacific Region, Private Wealth Advisors, other GS Divisions and many other business enablers in daily business operations. The position requires deep analytical abilities complemented by strong interpersonal skills in providing solutions to complex macro and micro issues in the PWM business.

HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL

• Support the COO and Asia PWM Region Heads in managerial initiatives and oversight of the PWM business
• Work closely with PWM teams on a variety of issues, including business metric reporting and forecasting, office and team level productivity reviews, fee pricing, new business coordination, organizational planning, client analytics and events
• Facilitate and manage cross-functional efforts on a variety of strategic initiatives and special projects related to business profitability, growth, and operations with business partners in Human Capital Management, Commission Accounting, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Technology divisions
• Create annual strategy and performance targets and track business metrics for Asia PWM teams with strategically optimizing effectiveness and efficiency through best practice sharing and business planning strategy, and other managerial issues

As a Financial Analyst, your responsibilities include:

• Working closely with Private Wealth Advisors to support and implement wealth management strategies for PWM clients in the Southeast Asia market.
• Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the financial markets
• Analyzing risk and return characteristics as well as assisting in rebalancing of client portfolios
• Executing client orders / subscriptions across asset classes
• Developing and preparing marketing presentations for prospects / clients that address equity, fixed income, foreign exchange and alternative investment components of asset allocation
• Researching on internal and external investment vehicles and trading ideas
• Collaborating with various product groups within and outside of the Investment Management Division to respond to client needs
• Relaying GS research and market views to Private Wealth Advisors and clients
• Providing general client service and team support
• Assisting on projects related to platform development and other infrastructure / process issues
