Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Technician to oversee the maintenance and repair of hotel equipment and systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all hotel systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee hotel equipment and systems, ensuring proper functioning and guest comfort and safety
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with hotel infrastructure
- Supervise installations and upgrades of hotel equipment and systems
- Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing training and guidance on hotel-specific systems and procedures
- Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance on critical hotel equipment
- Ensure guest room electronics are in proper working order
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to address guest concerns or equipment issues
- Respond to emergency maintenance or system failures
- Monitor and report performance of hotel systems
- Assist in implementing energy-saving measures and sustainable practices
- Oversee inventory of spare parts and tools
- Provide technical support for events
Requirements:
- Diploma or degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in maintenance and repair of hotel equipment and systems
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and security systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work on shift, weekends and public holidays
