Job Description :
The Asst. Operations Manager will be responsible for the operations on all Engineering services with the support of designated teams to ensure service delivery in accordance with the contractual work scope. Under his leadership, the works productivity is kept at its optimal level with the adherence to defined operational controls, administration, and reporting procedures.
He shall report to the Senior Operations Manager and work with him closely to accomplish all project’s objectives.
Responsibilities :
- Plan and prepare monthly work schedules in accordance with the contractual work scope and timelines related to all Engineering services works. Compile service reports upon completion.
- Manage all technical personnel, specialists, including direct vendors in all the disciplines within the contractual work scope.
- Reviews contracts' specifications to ensure cost effectiveness and competitiveness.
- Identify and evaluate cost benefits effects on alternative ways in accomplishing task and targets.
- Ensure that all operational issues and emergencies are attended promptly and rectified with minimal inconvenience and disruption.
- Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with the schedule planned.
- Monitor and track all project works and their progress status.
- Monitoring of KPIs to ensure compliance with performance framework.
- Ensures effective communication within the team and with internal/external stakeholders to achieve their assigned KPIs.
- Monitor Non-compliance letters and liaise with Contracts Dept for response.
- Monitor and track clearance for all personnel, including Vendors / Sub-cons and technicians within his work scope.
- Familiar with Workplace Health and Safety Act and be able to provide advice on Health & Safety matters.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure safety procedures on site are in place and working.
Requirements :
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering / Building / Facilities / Estate Management or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 5 years in similar position with relevant working experience in handling Government properties.
- Proven track records of IFM contracts management experience.
- Safety Manager or Project Manager Certification of Greenmark Manager will be an added advantage.
- Possess strong analytical and organizational skills with the ability to work independently and willing to go extra mile to reach challenging goals within very tight timelines.
- Good communication skills in both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure in a complex environment.
