We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Technical Specialist to join our team and serve as a key technical authority within our organization. This role requires a deep understanding of technical systems, hands-on expertise, and the ability to drive projects forward while mentoring other team members. The Senior Technical Specialist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain high-quality solutions aligned with our strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Expertise and Problem Solving
Act as the primary technical expert, diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
Develop robust solutions that optimize performance, scalability, and security.
Project Leadership and GuidanceLead technical projects from concept to implementation, ensuring alignment with goals and timelines.
Mentor and support junior team members, fostering skill growth and development.
System Design and ArchitectureContribute to the architecture and design of systems and applications, ensuring solutions meet both current and future business needs.
Review and approve technical designs from team members to maintain quality and consistency.
Process Improvement and InnovationIdentify and implement process improvements, including automation and workflow enhancements.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies that drive innovation and competitive advantage.
Stakeholder Collaboration and SupportCollaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
Communicate complex technical concepts in an accessible manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Documentation and Knowledge SharingCreate and maintain comprehensive documentation, including system designs and troubleshooting guides.
Facilitate knowledge sharing through training sessions and technical workshops.
Risk Management and ComplianceAssess risks associated with technical implementations and develop mitigation strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements, conducting technical audits as needed.
Job Specifications/Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of working experience on the administrative functionality of Google Workspace.
- Fluent in English, spoken and written.
- Experience using GAM, specifically for housekeeping (storage, classroom assignment or setup)
- Proficient in programming languages such as PHP, Python, Google Apps Script
- Minimum Google Workspace Administrator certification or ChromeOS Administrator certification - if not already certified, selected candidate will need to obtain certification within 3 months of employment
- Degree/Diploma in EEE/IT/Computer Science or equivalent
- Good analytical capability
- Good interpersonal skills and strong team player
- Independent and self-motivated
- Comfortable with facing customers virtually (video/voice calls) or onsite and have a friendly disposition
- Able to gather information from customers and resolve their pain points
- Fast learner with the ability to pick up new skills/products quickly
- Able to pick up new skills in Google Workspace/Cloud/Chrome related products when required
Bonus to have
- Integration experience of Google Workspace with identity management systems (such as OpenID, Okta, Microsoft AD, etc)
- Basic knowledge of PHP or any common scripting language
- Google Workspace Administrator certification
- ChromeOS Administrator certification
- Proficiency in AWS and/or Google Cloud Platform
