As a Tax Senior Manager, your main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business decision-makers, informing them of our scope of services and communicating how these services benefit their organizations.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
A) Taxation Function
· Coordinate timely and accurate tax reporting, filing and overall compliance in the area of direct and indirect taxation. Proactively monitor business, tax and other regional specific opportunities to optimize value for the group
· Handle and support Tax Audits and Other Local Tax issues, including Transfer Pricing
· Manage and coordinate business tax compliance and tax advisory engagements
· Develop budgets, determine resource requirements, and direct/monitor engagements
· Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure exceptional client service
· Team with tax professionals in other sub-service lines to provide comprehensive tax services
· Oversee the compliance management process and adapt to challenges in the process
· Participate in managing a compliance group by assisting with forecasting future compliance work, delegating work effectively, and resolving related issues
B) Treasury Function
• Manage legal entities treasury matters, in coordination with Group treasury policy. Support corporate initiatives in this area
• Responsible for All treasury related: Forwarding/ Hedging, Loan, Bank Sufficient balance in alignment with Group Treasury Policies
C) Accounting & Report Function
• Ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting for both statutory and group reporting purposes, interacting with the board of directors, corporate departments and the Business Units
• Be responsible for accounting and month-end closing period (monthly, quarterly, yearly)
• Manage and supervise all accounting activities including daily accounting transactions, payments, book closing and ensure controls on correctness and accuracy. Being the company representative in working with internal & external audit firms and other relevant third parties
• Monitor the work of subordinate accountants. Performing work related to accounting, checking, reviewing accounting from the accounting section (revenue, expenses, inventory, debt, bank,)
• Prepare and keep accounting records and balance sheets of the company in accordance with current regulations
• Maintain the filing system in safe condition and compliance with accounting
• Proactive balance sheet oversight and ownership. Coordinate timely reconciliation and identification of risks and opportunities either process or business plan related
D) Risk Management
· Advise management on the integration of risk management into business operations and their roles in making it work
· Advise on the allocation of accountability for risks, controls, and tasks
· Advise management and the Board on the interpretation of risk management information
· Provide appropriate risk management status and performance information to the Board Audit and Risk Committee
· Act as an advisor and mentor to management on risk management matters
Requirements & Skills
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/Accounting/Finance Management/Business/Economics, or equivalent
· Minimum 6 years of Thailand business tax experience
· Experience in Finance, Accounting, and Internal Audit
· Risk management in Multinational Enterprise with a diversified business investment portfolio would be an added advantage
· Ability to assess and evaluate risk, plus implement solutions, and think objectively
· Minimum 2 years of working experience in the Power and Utilities industry
· Minimum 6years of relevant working experience in the Thailand office is a MUST
· Understanding and knowledge of compliance framework, laws, regulations, and risk management principles in both Singapore and Thailand context
· Spoke & written in the Thai language is a MUST, Thailand being our Headquarters
· Able to travel to Thailand and other Regional office
