Job Requirements:

• Background in Biology/ Life Sciences
• Previous experience in automation of lab processes and validation work would be an advantage
• Good understanding of statistical method and experienced in statistical software (e.g SPSS) in Life Sciences setting
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Meticulous and strong critical thinking skills
• Collaborative team player and able to work independently

We are looking for a highly driven individual to be part of HSA’s Blood Resources Division- Blood bank team, where you will play a key role in supporting the National Blood Programme (NBP). In this front-facing role, the individual will work closely in a dynamic team to maintain and uphold operational efficiencies, safety and quality standards of our blood collection centres’ at the highest levels.

This role will be responsible for motivating, leading, and managing a team of officers within our blood banks. Additionally, the individual will play a strategic liaison role working closely with the Division’s management team on crucial initiatives.

[What you will be working on]

Responsibilities:-

• Leads a team of officers across blood collection centres to plan, support and manage operations.
• Strives to maintain Donor feedback above 90%. Monitors Donors Engagement and Retention rates through feedback management.
• Reviews and synthesizes centres’ performance data, closely monitoring operational productivity and efficiency of work processes. Identifies opportunity areas for improvement.
• Oversees Asset Management, Budget Planning & Centre-level Procurement of non-clinical items for the Division
• Closely supports Facilities Management and Workplace Safety requirements of collection centres. 
• Supports Infrastructure, Human Resources, Security & Safety matters at Division level.

[What we are looking for]

Requirements

• 2 to 5 years of relevant working experience managing of operations in Healthcare, Community Services, Public/Civil Services or Hospitality settings
• Familiar with the usage of data visualization and data analytics tools, e.g. tableau
• Productivity/Agile/Project Management certifications would be advantageous
• Experienced professionals exploring a mid-career switch are welcomed to apply
• The Centre Manager/Senior Centre Manager will be rostered for duty covering morning, afternoon and weekend shifts, across a 5-day work week supporting the blood collection centres operations hours.
• Team members are not required to perform night shift.

Our Blood banks operate 6 days a week*, between 9am – 8pm* (operating days/hours vary based on location).

The successful appointee will be placed on a one-year contract at the first instance.

The incumbent will:

• Strategise and implement organisational development interventions, which include transformation initiatives, employee engagement and wellness programme, internal communication and corporate social responsibility efforts, across the organisation.
• Implement strategies for regular employee engagement and feedback. This includes facilitating staff dialogue sessions, conducting organisational diagnosis, and designing, developing and delivering people-practices to achieve the desired organisational culture and behaviors.
• Integrate data from various employee touchpoints for a holistic view of employee engagement and to implement improvements and drive engagement.
• Develop and implement change management plans to ensure projects are well-supported and help staff adapt. Work with diverse stakeholders to execute and turn plans into reality.
• Administer the in-house Research, Innovation and Transformation Grant, and serve as a liaison officer to support and manage the governance process of research activities in accordance with the regulatory requirements and the organisation’s research policies and guidelines.
• Serve as a secretariat for the HSA Strong Partnership Workgroup and other senior management meetings.
• Be part of the in-house editorial and design team for the publication of the staff newsletter.

Job Requirements

Require someone who has a passion in building an innovative, engaged and high functioning workforce. The incumbent will need to:

• At least 4 years working experience in facilitating transformation, managing change initiatives, organisational development, research/innovation administration, employee engagement, and/or internal communication.
• Prior working knowledge in statistical/data analytics and experience in public sector would be advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and possess effective EQ to secure buy-in and align expectations amongst various stakeholders, including senior management.
• Self-driven with a can-do attitude, resourceful, meticulous, and able to work both independently and as a team member in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Powerpoint and working knowledge in the use of publication applications like MS Publisher and Canva.

• Develop and implement emergency and security plans, policies and SOPs.
• Develop and conduct EP training to achieve a high level of preparedness for emergency response.
• Conduct physical deployments and exercises to ensure a high level of emergency readiness.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and government agencies on all emergency related activities.
• Manage and ensure all emergency items and supplies are fully stocked and replenished as necessary.
• Manage the Emergency Department’s budget and funding requirements.

Job Requirements

• Tertiary qualification, with minimum 4-5 years of experience in emergency and crisis preparedness roles.
• Good team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organised with a keen eye for details.
