At Heerema Marine Contractors, we do something new every day. We operate the world’s largest crane vessels and with them we transport, install and remove structures for the offshore energy markets. Our projects range from installing wind turbines, removing retired offshore oil and gas platforms to installing platforms amongst the largest in the world. As a (Jr.) Financial Administrator, you will work in a team and actively liaise with colleagues from HQ Leiden and Singapore in other different departments (such as Crewing, Finance, Taxation) as well as the local authorities and service providers.
Daily activities
Your tasks and responsibilities include the following:
- Maintain the fixed assets register
- Provide accounting support and manage the bookkeeping of the Companies (GL, AP, AR)
- Ensure updated records (e.g. vendor invoices, expenses report, credit card report)
- Prepare payments and follow-up on payment matters, bank reconciliation
- To ensure that expense claims are processed and reviewed on a timely manner
- Provide admin support (processing vendor letters, scanning, filing etc.)
- Cash-flow control and reporting
- Propose improvements to internal procedures, if any
- Preparation of billing and intracompany/ related parties consolidation
- Ensure adherence to HMC accounting and finance procedures by employees
- Quarterly GST reporting
- To conduct weekly payment runs
- External audit preparation, coordination and management
- Other ad hoc financial duties as assigned

Furthermore, you have:
- A Diploma preferably in Business, Finance or Accounting.
- At least 1-3 years’ experience in an Accounting or Finance related role.
- Good knowledge of the English language both written and spoken.
- Discipline in filing and maintain of records for accurate book keeping.
- Is able to explain and present ideas in a clear and structured way.
- Able to meet tight deadlines.
- Experience in financial reporting, finance operation and cash flow.
- Strong accounting knowledge and application of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS).
- Displays analytical thinking, meticulousness and the ability to work under tight timelines.
- Knowledge of SAP is advantageous.
- Experienced in the use of MS office applications.
