Role Mission:
Join us as a dynamic Procurement Executive, overseeing local and overseas imports. Responsibilities:
- Manage our current local and overseas suppliers for the required goods and materials.
- Submission of depletion reports to brand owners.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating terms, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or service.
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders to determine procurement needs, demands and specifications.
- Prepare purchase orders, request for quotations (RFQs), and other necessary procurement documents.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and guidelines during the procurement process.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics partners to ensure smooth import/export processes.
- Handle documentation related to customs clearance and ensured compliance with import/export laws.
- Analyze market trends and pricing to ensure cost-effectiveness and competitiveness.
- Implement cost-saving strategies without compromising product quality or delivery timelines.
- Monitor inventory levels and lead times to prevent stockouts and overstock situations.
- Work closely with the inventory and finance team to optimize stock levels based on demand forecasts.
- Manage quality control and maintain quality standards for procured goods.
- Conduct periodic quality checks and inspections on received shipments.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams to provide updates on procurement status, potential risks, and lead times.
- Generate weekly reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and cost analysis.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certificate/Diploma and/or Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field.
- At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in procurement, distribution, or supply chain industry with focus on both local and overseas imports.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and import/export documentation.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
- Knowledge of industry best practices and trends in procurement and supply chain management.
