Regional Finance Controller (Vertical)

As part of Hilti Regional office team in Singapore, you will be driving implementation of regional finance agenda across 9 market organizations, leading preparation of key regional meetings and oversee monthly reporting for top management. You will be taking active part in corporate and regional finance projects, manage regional controlling community agenda and act as sparring partner for Regional Head of Controlling.

This role offers an opportunity to lead controlling work streams in the region, take part in business steering, work close with the management team and create network across the organization while contributing to corporate and regional projects.

Your responsibilities

• Lead monthly value cockpit preparation for regional top management and work closely with reporting team and with functional leads on needed enhancements in order to reflect properly organizational priorities and support successful rollout of new group strategy. Ensure high reporting quality and timely deployment, identify automation & process improvements, lead implementation.
• Identify performance gaps, deep dive in root cause and propose corrective measures to meet the targets / optimize achievements.
• Take active part in corporate and regional projects by providing controlling and finance expertise for decision process and efficient change management.
• Be in charge of regional controlling community by owning timely communication, organizing regular meetings, selecting topics for competence build-up and providing platforms for experience exchange.
• Proactively monitor external environment and collaborate with Market organizations to understand business dynamics and predict financial implications to support the management in decision making.
• Support Regional Head of Controlling in add-hoc analysis, projections and reporting to create transparency for senior management. Collaborate with cross functional teams to drive performance improvements, strategy implementation and finance competence build up.
• Own regional finance agenda assuring timely and drive high quality preparation for key management meetings, submissions to group headquarters, top management visits.

Your profile

• Degree or above in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• 5-7 years of working experience in Finance and/or controlling.
• Deep understanding of corporate processes and solid business oikumene.
• Strong analytical skills, well-structured and outspoken, experienced with financial planning and business reporting.
• Proven stakeholder management skills and ability to influence for setting right priorities in line with the strategy.
• Confident in financial accounting topics including month end closing, Profit & Loss Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, statutory accounting and audit.
• Comfortable in navigating complex data and able to translate it in easily digestible reports.
• Possess high learning agility and conceptual thinking, ability to derive from operational & project findings an actionable plan for improvements and impactful investments.
• Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Dynamic personality with strong winning and high performing mindset.
• Team player and enjoy collaboration with highly diverse teams.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in SAP and proficiency in Excel, Power Point and reporting software (e.g. Tagetik, SAP Analytics, Power BI).
• Interest in future career progression with international mobility to relocate to other countries for next step career advancement.
