The Opportunity

You will be responsible for providing high quality support services in construction claims, litigation support, commercial or contractual advisory services to HKA and its clients. You will be part of our quantum assessment and contract management team. You will be accountable for leading and the delivery of a commission ensuring commercial and quality outcomes, whilst strengthening client relationships.

You will actively contribute to business development initiatives and will contribute as required to bid and proposal development. You will also be expected to act as a Brand Ambassador when interacting with clients, attending professional networking events and using social media and publishing articles.

Skills and Experience

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Minimum 10 years’ construction industry experience in cost, quantum and claims assessment matters
• Must possess extensive experience working on claims, claims management and cost analysis. Preferably experience working on international projects (including APAC, and Middle East).
• Minimum of 3 years in using quantum analysis principles and in prolongation, disruption and general costs claims as part of claims submission process.
• Whilst being a team player, you must also demonstrate an ability to lead delivery initiatives and manage clients’ in the course of undertaking commissions.
• Demonstrable experience in working independently with minimal supervision.
• Bachelors’ degree in quantity surveying, construction management or related fields.
• Second degree (preferably legal) and possess accredited expert credentials.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for providing high quality support services in construction claims, alternative dispute resolution (mediation / adjudication / arbitration / litigation) and commercial / contract advisory services to HKA’s clients.

You will be part of the quantum and contract management team accountable for the delivery of a commissions ensuring commercial and quality outcomes for HKA’s clients whilst strengthening HKA’s existing client relationships. You will have the opportunity to be part of the Expert and Claims services group.

Skills and Experience

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Experience working in the construction industry experience in cost, quantum and claims assessment matters.
• Construction industry experience either as a project claims consultant, quantity surveyor, cost engineer or project manager preferably with live project commercial management experience.
• Exposure to quantum analysis principles used in the construction industry and must have sound fundamentals in prolongation, disruption and general costs claims as part of claims submission process.
• A degree in a relevant field i.e. Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Project Management etc.
• Ideally hold membership in the RICS or CIArb.
• Hold a high degree of articulation and excellent use of the English language in written and spoken form.
• Possess experience on claims, claims management and cost analysis.

The Opportunity

Our Forensic Accounting and Commercial Damages (FACD) practice continues to excel and grow. We pride ourselves on our reputation for quality forensic analysis and Expert Witness services which are at the forefront of our industry. As a result of the continued success of our Expert Services business we are looking to expand the FACD practice in Asia by recruiting a talented Accountant to be part of our growth.

This is an opportunity to work on projects across the Asia Pacific region in a variety of industries including construction, oil and gas, energy and telecommunications across various jurisdictions. Reporting to the Partner of the FACD practice and operating out of our office in Singapore, you will be responsible for:

• Researching and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
• Financial analysis.
• Assisting in the production of expert reports.
• Developing financial models from transactional and financial data.
• Using relevant software tools for research and analysing data.
• Communicating results and work product as appropriate.

Skills and Experience:

Ideally you will possess the following skills and experience:

• Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or similar.
• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a recognised consulting environment such as; Audit, Forensic Services, Valuations, Transaction Services.
• Fluent Mandarin language skills preferable but not essential.
• Ideally, you will be a Qualified Accountant or have a desire to further your qualifications in this area.
• Experience in Forensic Accounting and Valuations, with exposure to disputes is highly desirable.
• Genuine interest in forensic accounting is required.
• Commitment to undertaking high quality analysis with strong problem solving and attention to detail.
• A strategic thinker who is comfortable working through ambiguity.
• An ability to work to meet deadlines, often under tight timeframes.
• Exceptional written and communication skills.
• A respected team player.
