Job Title: Compliance and Safety Engineer

Job Overview: Homeone, a leading provider of water heater solutions prioritizing statutory compliance and safety, is seeking a talented and experienced Compliance and Safety Engineer to ensure the highest standards of safety and regulatory adherence in our operations. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in promoting compliance, educating stakeholders, and driving safety initiatives in this dynamic and expanding market.

Responsibilities:

1. Regulatory Compliance:
   • Stay abreast of all relevant regulations, codes of practice, and safety standards related to water heater installations in Singapore.
   • Ensure that Homeone's engineering practices comply with all statutory requirements.
2. Safety Audits and Inspections:
   • Conduct regular technical and safety audits and inspections of work sites, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
   • Identify and address potential safety hazards and risks promptly.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
   • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of safety and work compliance inspections, audits, and compliance documentation.
   • Prepare comprehensive reports for internal use and regulatory authorities.
4. Training and Development:
   • Develop and deliver technical and safety training programs for Homeone staff and licensed contractors.
   • Facilitate ongoing safety education and awareness campaigns within the organization.
5. Quality Assurance:
   • Implement quality assurance measures to ensure that all water heater installations meet or exceed safety and compliance standards.
   • Collaborate with the engineering team to address and rectify any non-compliance issues.
6. Emergency Preparedness:
   • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for water heater installations, ensuring the safety of both workers and occupants.
   • Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency procedures.
7. Collaboration with Authorities:
   • Submission to PUB, HDB or other authorities.
   • Act as a liaison between Homeone and relevant regulatory bodies, ensuring open communication and alignment with industry standards.
   • Respond to inquiries and participate in regulatory inspections as needed.
8. Continuous Improvement:
   • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices and compliance processes.
   • Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to enhance safety performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a PUB Licensed Plumber or an EMA LEW.
• Proven experience in a safety or PUB or EMA compliance role, preferably in the construction or water heater solutions industry.
• Strong understanding of Singapore's safety regulations and codes of practice for plumbing or electrical.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
