The Logistics Operations Executive is responsible for managing logistics activities and ensuring smooth operations across shipping, inventory management, and customs clearance. This role involves direct communication with suppliers and customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Logistics Recordkeeping: Maintain accurate records of logistics activities, including shipping, inventory, and delivery schedules.
- Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, ensuring stock accuracy and coordinating with suppliers to meet product demand.
- Shipping Procedures: Manage and coordinate the shipping of products, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Freight Forwarding & Customs Clearance: Work with freight forwarders to facilitate efficient transport and ensure all customs clearance procedures are followed.
- Customs Permit Declarations: Prepare and submit customs permit declarations to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Communication with Suppliers & Customers: Maintain clear and timely communication with suppliers and customers to resolve any issues and ensure smooth operations.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Be a Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Be a mid-career individual (aged 40 and above) seeking to transition to a new career path or role.
- Have a background in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields, with transferable skills and a strong interest in the relevant industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
Skills & Competencies:
- Logistics Recordkeeping: Solid understanding of logistics documentation and record management to ensure accurate and efficient operations.
- Singapore Customs Regulations and Compliance: Knowledge of Singapore’s customs regulations and compliance requirements for smooth import and export operations.
- Hands-On Experience with Logistics Software (TradeNet): Proficiency in using logistics and trade management software, particularly TradeNet, to facilitate customs declarations and document management.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring clear and timely information exchange.
Eligibility for Mid-Career Pathways Programme:
- Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Aged 40 and above, with an interest in transitioning to a new career in logistics.
- Duration of the Programme from 21 November 2024 to 27 August 2025.
