About the Job

The Assistant Manager will play a key role in building and nurturing relationships within the Peacehaven community outreach especially in our Active Aging Centre (AAC). This position focuses on developing and implementing community programs, facilitating engagement initiatives, and fostering partnerships with local organizations, government entities to promote sustainable development and community well-being in engaging our seniors in the community.

Job Description

• Program Development: Design, implement, and evaluate community development programs that address the needs of diverse community members.

• Community Engagement: Facilitate workshops, meetings, and events to engage residents, gather feedback, and encourage participation in community initiatives.

• Partnership Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, government agencies, and stakeholders to support community projects and initiatives.

• Advocacy: Advocate for the needs and interests of the community by representing Peacehaven in local forums and meetings.

• Volunteer Management: Manage the team in volunteer management to enable outreach programs to be executed smoothly

• Resource Management: Identify funding opportunities, prepare grant applications, and manage budgets for community programs.

Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Community Development, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field preferred

The IT Team Lead/Assistant Manager will assist with the conceptualization, proposition, sourcing, implementation, support & upgrade of new or existing IT systems in a timely & cost-effective manner, to support Care Corner's evolving strategy to deliver services more effectively in an increasingly digitalised & connected world.

This role will provide business, technical & administrative support to internal teams, vendors, funders, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders, both for IT system/project implementation as well as day to day IT operations, including contracts and subscriptions, data protection and cybersecurity, as well as end-user support and training.

The IT Team Lead/Assistant Manager will report to the Head of IT and Digitalisation, and may have direct or indirect reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific responsibilities for this role include:

• Identify, propose and initiate IT projects and activities within Care Corner, involving services, tools and platforms, with quantifiable & significant gains on cost efficiency, process effectiveness, and resource productivity, as well as benefits to the business & operations of Care Corner, while adhering to security and data protection standards.
• Optimize, and automate, where applicable, data design and process flow across various systems to facilitate timely data analytics and planning. Systems include those used in Care Corner as well as those external to Care Corner, such as service provider and government systems.
• Manage systems/project implementation, including timeline, milestones, resource plan, scope of work, budget, and change requests, etc. You will also account for income received and expenditure incurred, as well as process payments, contracts/subscriptions and internal billing, where applicable.
• Source for and engage with vendors to facilitate optimal use/integration of IT solutions, platforms, and services.
• Create, review, revise and enforce policy, best practices and standards for IT systems, services and architecture.
• Support overall Care Corner IT architecture and ensure that it is kept up to date, secure and well documented.
• Provide excellent team leadership and mentoring, including effective communication, team building and coaching.
• Collaborate effectively with colleagues across Care Corner.

REQUIREMENTS

• Tertiary qualification in information technology or equivalent together with significant experience in IT solution design and delivery, and/or project management involving off-the-shelf, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS &/or bespoke solutions.
• Well versed in the system development lifecycles and their relationship to project delivery methods including waterfall and agile.
• Technically sound in one or more of the core components of Care Corner's IT architecture, including but not limited to Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, Salesforce and Wordpress.
• Strength of character with confidence and credibility with ability to challenge issues and positively influence their resolution, coupled with humility, respect and empathy.
• Demonstrated strong presentation skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to structure and articulate messages effectively to different audiences at all levels.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ensuring that the underlying problem is understood, and a robust approach / solution is developed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the Producer and Executive Producer in all pre-production, production and post-production matters.
• Assist in liaison work with internal production units and external companies.

We aim to help children and youths reintegrate back into their family and society through an array of holistic programmes and activities specially designed to cater to the well being of each individual person. At Gracehaven, a team of professionally trained social workers work towards building holistic and individualized care plans that are tailored to meet each person's needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

MAIN PURPOSE / OBJECTIVES:

• The Assistant Director, Community and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) Services is responsible for overseeing and managing the delivery of community services and youth mental health programmes. He/she will provide professional and operational oversight for clinical and social work components in CYMH.

• This position will supervise the Manager, Youth Development Centre (YDC) to ensure smooth planning and implementation of programmes for youths at the drop in centre, child access services and youth mental health programmes. This will include guiding staff and executing the pivoting of YDC from its current focus to professionally grounded youth mental health and developing the activities and programmes needed from scratch.

• This position will also provide professional supervision to develop and implement youth mental health programmes that are able to reach a broad spectrum of youths to build resilience as well as supervise the team to provide case management and basic level counselling/triage for low to moderate level of youth mental health concerns. This will include ensuring that funders' KPIs and obligations are met.

• This position will also supervise the Manager, Kids in Play (KIP) to ensure strategic planning, and provide strong professional oversight to enable KIP to continue to be well established as a clinically sound service provider and continue to grow KIP's social work and clinical practice in the corrections landscape. This position will also front engagements with government agencies such as Prisons and NCSS, using his/her professional standing and capability to build a strong reputation for KIP and enable collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure continual financial support for all KIP programmes. He/she will also work with relevant agencies such as NCSS on assessment/evaluation tools and how they are to be implemented appropriately to ensure KIP is fairly assessed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the delivery of community services and youth mental health programmes.

• Provide professional oversight for clinical and social work components in CYMH and KIP.

• Supervise the Manager, Youth Development Centre to ensure smooth planning and implementation of programmes for youths at the drop-in centre, child access services, and youth mental health programmes.

• Maintain close working relations with Prisons authorities to ensure all kids in play continue to develop.

• Ensure that funder's KPIs and obligations for all community and YMH programmes are met, as well as work with relevant partners such as MER in HQ and NCSS Research to ensure evaluations are fairly executed for.

• Be involved in service development and supervision for other new community services.

Qualifications:

• A degree in social work, psychology, or a related field.
• Strong clinical and professional record in social work or clinical work, especially in working with families, children and youth and/or mental health
