RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position is for Centre for Teaching Excellence (CTE).
• Reports to the Assistant Director and assists on pedagogy matters and technical expertise e.g. technology tools, videography and mounting on learning management platforms) to support instructors who are converting their courses to blended format and MOOCs.
• Assigned projects by the Assistant Director, and partner other Learning Designers/Learning Technologists to provide consultation and professional services on BL (Blended Learning) projects with instructors to ensure that the solutions developed are aligned to sound learning design principles based on the use of appropriate digital tools.
• Review faculty's existing blended learning content and identify appropriate solution(s) for their courses. This includes providing pedagogical rationale for recommending and developing content using appropriate media types, as well as suggesting and developing relevant learning activities for the course. The scope will include the development of new courses and repurposing of existing courses to be delivered via online learning platforms.
• Co-develop relevant course materials with instructors including filming, post-production and use of e-authoring tools.
• Provide support in TEL-related (Technology Enhanced Learning) projects to provide pedagogical inputs as a Learning Designer/Technologist in the design and development for a variety of media (e.g. engaging web-based and mobile learning applications, videos, animations, games, simulations and other instructional technologies for online and blended learning activities).
• Plan and conduct professional development workshops on curriculum design, development, and delivery of BL and its corresponding digital tools to faculty and staff in SMU.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

• Degree in Education/ Learning Design or equivalent.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience, of which at least 1 year experience in designing and developing online and blended learning solutions required. These solutions may be a variety of instructional media, including face-to-face, synchronous and asynchronous online learning technologies, self-paced online learning, multimedia etc.
• Strong knowledge and experience in the implementation and management of online, blended learning (preferably in undergraduate and postgraduate courses or programmes of an institute of higher learning) and MOOCs will be an advantage.
• Sound knowledge and experience in applying contemporary and emerging principles of learning/instructional design to online and blended learning, including all phases of the Instructional System Design (ISD) process or Analyse, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation (ADDIE) model.
• Proficient in videography, graphics creation, and post-production.
• Proficient in the use of e-Authoring tools, such as (but not limited to) Articulate, Lectora.
• Extensive knowledge of online learning tools and media.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Understand the requirement from the Producer and assist to generate visual concepts, layout plans, construction drawings, elevations, details and perspectives.
• Design using AutoCAD and 3D modelling software, eg. Cinema 4D or 3D Studio Max etc. to deliver aesthetically pleasing design with advice from seniors.

Senior Designer
The Senior Designer is responsible for leading the production or marketing assets across various channels, including display ads, social media ads, out-of-home ads, website graphics, and more. This role requires a hands-on approach to design, as well as the ability to leverage AI and automation tools such as Midjourney, Copy.ai and Canva to enhance and expedite the creative process. Additionally, the Senior Designer will play a key role in the future expansion of the team's capabilities into photography, videography and content creation for key overseas markets in local languages such as Simplified Chinese.

RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking for an experienced and talented UX Research Manager to lead and manage our UX research efforts. The ideal candidate should have experience working in agile teams, with UX designers, product managers and developers. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of UX research, from planning and designing studies to analyzing and presenting findings to key stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of user-centered design and be familiar with the latest research methodologies.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary design and development team comprising of architects, landscape and graphic designers, and horticulturists. As an experienced designer, you will partake in and be expected to independently produce innovative and integrated design solutions across various design disciplines, including 3D event/display design, experiential design, marketing communication, wayfinding signage, etc.

You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to realise the desired outcomes and to bring Gardens by the Bay (GB)' visions to life and contribute to the growth of this worldclass destination.

Key responsibilities:

• Event/Display Design to support Changing Floral Displays and outdoor programs: research, conceptualise and design in 3D for different types of displays/events. The design shall be able to draw up plans and technical drawings in AutoCad, assess the site conditions, prepare the tender package for purpose of procurement, coordinate and work with the operation team and the production vendors/contractors to implement spatial design for displays/events within the approved budget.
• Signage/Graphic design: generate creative design proposals that respond to the specific requirements and reflect the GB's branding while ensuring the highest standards of functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics befitting this worldclass destination. Proficient in conceptualising and creating key visuals for display events and ad hoc projects, ensuring a cohesive and visually appealing representation. Responsible for overseeing and maintaining a consistent visual aesthetic at GB, ensuring alignment with established standards. Accountable for ongoing communication and coordination with vendors to uphold the desired visual integrity across the venue.
• Stakeholder management: Accurately interpret project brief requirements, understand visual communication objectives, interpret the ideas into photorealistic 3D rendering with good lighting effect (and animation if possible), be proactive in engaging stakeholders, understanding their needs and aspirations, and ensure that the design solutions align with their goals and preferences.
• Visual Communication: be well versed in design visualisation software and tools to create 3D models, renderings, and presentations to communicate design ideas effectively to management and internal stakeholders.
• Collaborative and Creative Workplace: Proactively engage your peers to ideate and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, to deliver integrated design solutions.

• Degree in Event/Exhibition Design, Interior Design, Visual Communications, Digital Arts, or relevant discipline
• Minimum 5 years relevant postgraduate design experience in exhibition and graphic design with a portfolio showing relevant projects. Experience in attraction design will be a bonus
• Strong sense of composition, realism, texture, colour, lighting, and attention to detail
• Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Sketchup/3D, and other relevant tools. Proficiency in Computational design, data visualisation tool such as tableau will be a bonus

• Set up lighting systems for OB productions.
