Reports to Construction Manager
Survey Planning and Execution: Analyse and prepare daily drawings for setting-out. Conduct and oversee land survey inspections including topographic and as-built surveys
Data Collection: Utilize advance surveying equipment and technologies (e.g., GPS, total stations, scanners and digital levels) to collect and analyse data, ensuring accuracy and reliability
Mapping & Documentation: Create and maintain detailed maps, plans, and reports based on survey data using AutoCad Civil 3D
Data Analysis and Computation: Prepare survey data, generate surfaces and perform data analysis and volumetric computations using AutoCad Civil 3D and similar programs
Quality Assurance: Verify the accuracy of design drawings and survey data for submissions
Collaboration: Work closely with site managers, site engineers, site supervisors and project consultants to provide survey insights and recommendations for planning and executions
Compliance: Ensure all surveying activities comply with local regulations, safety standards and project requirements
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve any issues related to survey data, equipment or methodologies
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics or related field
Proficiency with survey equipment (GPS, total Station, scanner, digital level)
Proficiency with AutoCad Civil 3D (Civil 3D is not the same as AutoCad only)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various outdoor conditions and navigate construction sites safely
Minimum of 2 years in surveying, preferably in construction or reclamation projects
