Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our construction company in Singapore. The General Manager will oversee the entire spectrum of operations, ensuring efficient project delivery, strategic growth, and organizational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in construction management, strong leadership abilities, and a deep understanding of Singapore's construction industry standards, regulations, and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the company’s strategic vision and operational plans.
- Drive business growth through identifying opportunities, fostering partnerships, and expanding market share.
- Ensure alignment of all departments with the company’s goals and objectives.
Operational Oversight:
- Manage day-to-day operations, including project planning, execution, and completion within timelines and budgets.
- Oversee tendering, contract negotiations, and vendor relationships.
- Implement quality assurance processes to meet safety, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the company’s budgets and financial goals.
- Monitor project profitability and operational costs, ensuring fiscal accountability.
- Oversee invoicing, cash flow, and financial reporting to stakeholders.
Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and administrative staff.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Recruit, onboard, and retain top talent in alignment with organizational needs.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, consultants, and other stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events and forums, enhancing its reputation and market position.
- Address and resolve conflicts or challenges that may arise during projects.
Requirements:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects and teams.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Singapore’s construction regulations, safety standards, and building codes.
- Proficiency in project management tools and construction-related software.
- Understanding of financial principles, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
