KEY REQUIREMENTS:

1. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

• Bilingual English and Chinese
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• 2-3 years of Autocad drafting experience (electrical, piping and mechanical)e in the shipping industry is a plus
• Can compute electrical loading, design electrical wiring and piping sizes
• Familiar with AutoCAD, Photoshop or Illustrator, M. Suite (Words, Excel,
• PowerPoint, Outlook, Project) SketchUp
• Able to produce designs based on concept given by the Project Architect
• Able to interpret conceptual drawings into detail drawings
• Able to do construction drawings as per design directives
• Tender and construction documentation skills are essential

2. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Diploma / Bachelor in Architecture, Interior Design or Engineering

3. PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience as a Drafter or similar role.5 - 8 yrs of working experience.
• Experience in ship industry is a plus
• Preferably 3-4years relevant experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage all content and editorial tasks including editing, writing, content strategy, and steering the overall direction and voice of the organisation’s communication strategies. This includes the production of annual reports, publications, speeches, media releases, etc.
• Ensure and maintain good brand and communication consistency for all company materials and collaterals.
• Engagement of both internal and external stakeholders in successfully executing initiatives, including meetings, dialogues, events, etc.
• Develop strategic communications plan for key events.
• Media engagement for the publicity of the organisation’s activities. Craft media replies and coordinate media interviews.
• Media monitoring for news coverage on the organisation, executive council members and related industry news.
• Formulation of organisation’s annual budget recommendation paper.
• Plan and execute organisation’s council meetings and AGM.
• Event support and emcee duties as assigned.
• Provide general administrative support as required.

2. EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

3. PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

• Possess at least 3 years of relevant experience in corporate communications, public/media relations or related positions.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials from approved local & overseas vendors.
• Take lead in sourcing for new goods not supplied by regular principals/vendors with the aim to reduce cost whilst maintaining quality and requirements.
• Ensure all purchase request are approved within mandated guidelines.
• Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project.
• Process the purchase orders correctly by liaising with suppliers, stakeholders and purchasing admin.
• Manage the daily operational purchasing needs such as following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
• To effectively manage the air and sea freight costs by optimizing the relevant use of incoterms.
• Resolve supply, quality, service and invoices issues with vendors and or other stakeholders.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best competitive prices accordingly to criteria and Company’s requirements.
• Responsible for implementing procurement strategies on urgent deliveries and long lead time items to meet project timeline.
• Undertake any other assigned ad-hoc duties.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Procurement/ Supply Chain/ /Marine/ Engineering or equivalent certifications.
• Preferred 3 years relevant working experience in a similar capacity preferably in Construction/Marine/Offshore industry.
• Good negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work well under stress in a fast pace environment
• Proficient in the use of MS Office Application (Words, Excel) and an acceptable understanding of ERP.
