This role supports the Singapore HR team to ensure the smooth operation of daily HR functions within a manufacturing environment. This includes overseeing onboarding processes, processing work passes, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Works closely with the leadership team and employees to foster a positive workplace culture, support talent management initiatives, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the HR department.
Job Responsibilities
- Support onboarding activities for Direct Labor and Material Handler recruitment, including participating in interviews and facilitating the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions.
- Coordinate pre-onboarding administration and deliver the new hire orientation program.
- Apply for and renew work passes promptly to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Process routine and confidential employment-related transactions, such as data entry for new hires/changes.
- Administer and execute human resource programs, including disciplinary actions, performance and talent management, employee recognition, and training initiatives.
- Oversee the planning, content creation and publish the bi-monthly e-newsletter.
- Ensure compliance with local employment laws and regulations, suggesting updates or changes to maintain alignment with best practices and legal standards.
- Respond to employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, escalating complex or sensitive matters as needed.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing company HR policies and procedures.
- Analyze current workflows to identify and recommend process improvements that enhance efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, with at least 3 years of HR experience and IHRP-CA/CP certification.
- Proven HR experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
- Solid knowledge of the Employment Act and other Ministry of Manpower (MOM) regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the workforce.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, demonstrating strong time management, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive personnel information with discretion and independent judgment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
