ABOUT IMAGINE H2O ASIA
Imagine H2O (IH2O) is the go-to-partner for water tech entrepreneurs building and scaling their businesses globally. Since 2009, IH2O’s accelerators supported 215 startups from 20 countries that are transforming how water is used, treated and accessed. Annually, a growing number of startups also benefit from IH2O’s recently launched Water Innovation Pilot Fund to finance technology pilots with utility and industrial customers globally.
Imagine H2O Asia (IH2O Asia) is the organization’s regional hub based in Singapore. Participating entrepreneurs receive mentorship, in-country market advisory, pilot support as well as connectivity to global customers and investors. From septic tank cleaning robots to real-time water quality monitoring, IH2O Asia has supported over 40 startups solving the region’s water and climate challenges.
IH2O Asia is a NGO supported by leading philanthropies including Coca-Cola Foundation, public sector partners including Enterprise Singapore and the Asian Development Bank, and corporate end-users including Kurita, Veolia and Xylem.
ABOUT THE POSITION
IH2O Asia is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and motivated self-starter with exceptional writing and communication skills. The Associate will be based in Singapore and will design and execute communications campaigns, lead high-profile innovation events and manage regional program impact monitoring and evaluation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Innovation Programs, Events & Partnerships
● Coordinate planning and execution of regional industry programs and events
● Support market research and customer outreach in priority markets
● Design and draft program collateral and other event materials
● Monitor startup engagement and performance as well as program impact
Communications & Marketing
● Draft and update content for social media, website and other channels
● Design and execute new communications campaigns to raise awareness around water innovation
● Support internal and external stakeholder reporting
● Represent the organization at industry events or partner/vendor meetings, if needed
Impact Monitoring & Stakeholder Reporting
● Support technology pilot impact monitoring and evaluation
● Conduct field research and expert interviews to evaluate program effectiveness
● Coordinate email campaigns and program updates for startups and partners
● Draft blogs and other content showcasing innovation case studies and learnings
REQUIREMENTS
● Demonstrate through recent internship and/or full-time professional experiences:
○ Strong project management and relationship management skills
○ Attention to detail and ability to be self-directed as well as manage ambiguity or changing priorities
○ Interest in climate and/or water innovation and entrepreneurship
○ Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with a lean team
● Bachelors degree or Diploma. This is an entry-level position.
● Singapore citizen or Permanent Resident
● A background in a related field and/or familiarity with water, environment and/or climate issues is preferred but not required
