Consumer GI Operations is a team that supports the General Insurance (GI) operations at Income. We played a key role in GI Consumer Business by supporting our stakeholders in Underwriting, Policy Servicing and Claims processing. As a Senior Executive in Consumer GI Operations, Personal Insurance Claims, your key responsibilities include the following: -

• Assess and negotiate settlement of Personal Insurance claims within the approved delegated authority limit
• Ensure prompt, fair and reasonable claims settlement of claims
• Liaise with various external service providers such as surveyors, loss adjuster or assistance company where necessary
• To be vigilant and escalate suspicious case for further investigation
• To assist supervisor in preparing and analyzing exception reports and daily productivity reports

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma holder in any field
• Candidates with insurance certifications BCP, PGI, ComGI preferred
• Have 1 to 2 years of working experience in the Personal Insurance industry in a similar capacity preferred
• Have good analytical, communication and negotiation skills
• Service oriented with excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills

The Life and Health Operations (LHO) department plays a pivotal role in ensuring we provide our customers with affordable and comprehensive life and health products, with efficient processes to allow optimal service to our customers.

As an Executive, you will report to the Life Claims Section Lead, manage health/minor claim assessment (including managed healthcare system) and handle administrative duties.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assess policy liability, compute and determine the claim amount payable based on policy cover and management guidelines for claim types such as minor claims of individual personal life insurance and managed healthcare system etc.
• Recommend payment or rejection of claims, ensuring timely and fair settlement of claims
• Ensure that claims are settled within the target time set and pending claims are reviewed within the target period
• Ensure that claims are processed in accordance to the service level agreements set within the organization and with external bodies such as CPF Board, vendor for panel clinics
• Work closely and maintain good rapport with representatives (financial consultants, advisers, brokers, etc.), officers and staff of other departments
• Communicate effectively with claimants and related parties, reinsurers, and external stakeholders such as the CPF Board, and hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, vendor for panel clinics in the course of claims administration
• Handle claim enquiries, service recovery, complaints, appeals and customer care matters
• Review and suggest process improvements for developing or implementing best practices
• Participate in operation efficiency and A.I. driven projects to bring efficiency to claims processes
• Undertake any projects or duties, including administrative duties, as assigned by Section Lead or Head of Function

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree holder with 1 year of experience in Claims or Underwriting
• Good background in health claims
• Good policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
• Good critical thinking skills and ability to handle complex computations
• Good written and communication skills, committed team player
• Meticulous with good analytical and administrative skills
• Able to multi-task and work independently

The Training & Competency Team is responsible for the competencies and due diligence monitoring of sales process and supervisory duties of our tied sales force. The Training & Competency (T&C) Team reports to the T&C functional head who reports to the Head of Distribution Talent Centre. The candidate reports to the T&C functional head.

He/she will be responsible in driving good practices and ensuring the sales force fulfil the required expectations, in accordance with the company/industry standards in following key areas:

a) Perform due diligence monitoring, activate needed service recovery, apply preventive measures in proper sales advisory, replacement of policies and supervisory duties which include:

• Conducting reviews on sales documentation and supervisory duties
• Preparing audit reports and management updates
• Applying safeguards, controls and appropriate corrective measures in upholding expected conduct
• Managing data and conduct trend analysis

b) Establish, review and update SOPs, frameworks, and policies accordingly with company, industry, and regulators developments.

c) Support in upholding sales advisory expectation by:

• Ensuring forms, handbooks, guides, checklists, system requirements and training materials are current and accurate
• Handling related enquiries

d) Prepare and conduct briefings, training to the sales force, as needed

e) Undertake projects and execute activities assigned to the team

Requirements:

• Minimally a Diploma in any field of study.
• At least 4-year experience in training and competence / compliance audit in Financial Services industry
• Knowledge and experience in life insurance sales processes
• Good knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines eg. FAA and LIA MUs & MCs would be an advantage
• Possess the relevant licensing examinations: CMFAS Module 5, 9, 9A, and Certificate in Health Insurance; or equivalents
• Professional qualification in AFC, AFP, ChFC, etc would be an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Good interpersonal skill
